Any week that Fritta’s Mum and Dad are on the TV is a good week to be a Demons fan.

@WalkingCivilWar tell Frittas mum she was brilliant in the post match. Loved seeing her and Maysy’s mum on the TV. They should all be very proud.

I will! She’ll love to hear that!
We were at the Pineapple pre-match having a drink or ten and Scott (Mr Frittata) recorded a lil vid of us. Needless to say I will NOT be sharing it on DL. 😁 I left the Pineapple at the very latest I could to get to the ground on time for setting up. Five minutes down the road she messages me to come back! It’s the closest I’ve come to blowing off Army duties. 😁

Good to see that ch7 found the vision of Arnsworth's strike on Neal-Bullen.

Awful  behind play strike.

Just so frustrating that ch7 didn't play the vision for the world to see what was going on.

What makes this win extra impressive IMO is that Brisbane weren't as pathetic as the scoreline made them look.

This wasn't a game where we had the ball locked in our forward half. Inside 50s were even in the first half. Indeed, they had more than us in the second quarter (but kicked 1 goal to our 7).

We were on top in CPs but not to the extent we have been in other games.

This was a reminder that our game, when we bring our best, stands up anywhere, against anyone.

You are spot on TU. It wasn't the sort of game that Goody would describe as "on our terms". Brisbane had plenty of clear entries inside 50. In some respects, we were more dominant against the Pies in the first 3 quarters than against the Lions. But there were 2 significant differences.

From the 1st minute, there was a notable shift in how we entered our forward 50. I haven't seen us lower our eyes all year. Amazing how much easier it was for Fritta and BBB when they were allowed to lead up to the ball carrier.

And secondly, our backline slaughtered the Lions forwards in one on one contests.

For us to be at our best, the players need to be given some sort of license when we have the ball to hit up leading targets, and not be solely concerned about the ramifications of a turnover. We have the best backline to deal with that.

This sounds like Scott! He certainly enjoys himself at the footy...

Channel 7 were as disgusting as the lions last night. Completely fictional narrative to pump up the home town, non-victorian underdog despite that underdog team playing like a pack of indie, mudshow, jabroni thugs

The mystery of what caused the Nibbla vomit is solved. It was a punch in the guts, but not from [censored] face Zorko. It was Noah Answerth that got him.

And Answerth gets a week from the tribunal.

But I got to see close ups of Neal Bullen vomiting and Barry’s tennis ball ankle 🙄

Brisbane should challenge Raynors.
Carlton has proven the head is sacrosanct ... Until the lawyers come in.

Was at the game and have just watched the first half again tonight.

The thing that summed it up for me was Jayden Hunt. With about 12 to go in the second quarter, he wins a contested possession on the half back flank, hands it off and then gut runs past three lions opponents to take a mark in clear space on the opposite forward flank.

Absolutely burnt them off. Incredible running by our team all night.

He screwed the kick up into the F50 but it was super impressive running, he just left them jogging after him.

Our F50 entries were so much better too.

Also, Zorko grabbing Ed in a choke hold and then pulling his hair was pretty low. He should have been cited as well for that.

No I don't.  But the only way Arnsworth  could have been charged is if the MRO obtained it from ch7.  And it must have been more than a tummy tap for it to be graded: intentional, medium impact, to the body and therefore get a one week suspension.  That it was behind play wouldn't help his cause.

Very poor that ch7 didn't show it at any stage or even refer to it.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
