Jackson in the same company as Max trac and Oliver...can't kick straight at goal.

If we hadnt won the cup last year, not a single person in the footy world would rate us even a small chance this year based on our form. This is not the same team as last year.

Not even close.

No dash, no dare, no idea.. So far from it it’s not funny..

Its a game of millimeters thats the difference between tearing a team apart and not.

This forward structure and the way it operates us not filling me with confidence at all right now. We have a lot of work to do

Rubbish.

Both teams will be making up the numbers in September. Both dire

Being at the game you cannot believe this team won the flag last year with our big score.

Bad kicking again

Sorry but I fail to see how on earth you’d substantiate that comment.

You can't swing a cat in our fwd line.

How was that not fifty for the way they scratched Clarry trying to return the ball then

Why do we kick to that pocket so often?

Reckon melks will get another year at this rate

This is Final style footy at its best and most you you lot need to learn how to watch a game.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG to face the Tigers in their annual Blockbuster on ANZAC Eve for the 10th time.
