If he kicks 8 with a stuffed knee I’ll take it. I’d be considering him as a forward line coach. Would love him to work with Van Rooyen. We need someone down there to have a look at what is going on. If you rookied him and he got right, might be worthwhile. I believe we did something like that with Reece Conca. Apparently he is off to play country footy. His knee mustn’t be completely cooked.

Has there been a better full fwd and bloke than JK? Plays for WC of all teams but he is a legend and a gent.

and people are wondering who won the Judd/JK trade? Even if it was a straight swap, WC clearly won

Cripps won't be rubbed out. There is one main reason. They play us and the filth in the next 2 weeks and would have to win one of them. Tigers should win both of their games and the dogs should as well which would place Carlton out of the eight. Saints probably won't win another game for year. The AFL want Carlton in the 8 so will make sure their most important player does not get rubbed out. It may not make a difference anyway but they want Carlton to have as much probability of making the 8 as they can.

If this is right then the AFL arr corrupt!

Hang on let me rephrase that......

TOTALLY CORRUPT

We must be drinking the same bath water eh?

now there’s something we haven’t mentioned yet this season - are we into our own bath water a bit much?

Not a terrible set of results for us given that we didn't win.  Swap from 2nd to 3rd.  All of Swans, Collingwood, Brisbane and us have not dissimilar runs over the next two weeks. Swans v Pies, Saints, Brisbane v Saints, us, Collingwood v Swans, Blues, Us v Blues, Lions.  I reckon ths Saints have got at least one more win in them.  No doubt there will be a couple of upsets.

Gees Josh Kennedy has been a fantastic player. He just seems like a quality guy. Doesn’t think he’s saving the world, just wants to play footy.

He should be so proud of his career.

Absolutley agree.   Unlike many good players from other teams who act or play in a style that makes them extremely dislikable, I've never had anything else than repsct for JK.  Wonderful career.  WCE clearly won in the Judd trade in my opinion, which is amazing in itself given how good Judd was.  8 goals in his last game is a very fitting way to go out.

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
