Poor Adem.

I wouldn’t go to the Bombers in their current state.

Surprising and thrilling. Sorry for Yze but super happy he might stay with us after all.
Surely he doesn’t go to Essendon

You'd hope not, but they have a serviceable list, so with a good system and coaching they could challenge for top 8 next year.

I suspect that they would try to lure Ross Lyon or Leon Cameron as Bucks has emphatically said he would not coach them. Has worked with Sheeds in the past. I suspect Sheeds will get one a more permanent coaching presence, similar to Choco's role for us. Dont know what it means for the rest of the coaching staff though.

If Essendon burn Yze I will burn the joint down.

Go back to Hird. You deserve one another.

If the Bombers poach Hinkley Yze would be a great fit at Port Adelaide.

As for joining the Bombers I think the North Melbourne Boss says it best:

Former North Melbourne powerbroker Ron Joseph says Clarkson was always heading to Arden Street. : r/AFL

Good result for Adam Kingsley, he's been in the queue longer that Adem.  Good result for us too.

Feel for Yze but I reckon it’ll end up being a blessing in disguise. The Giants are rotten on the inside.

Wait for the right role, Port or Dogs will come up next year. Or both

Dees wouldn’t allow Demon  ooz at Bombers.

Agree he would be a good fit at PA

Wonder what Ken Hinkley is thinking. Go to the bombers on a multi year deal or keep putting up with the sack Hinckley stuff at Port.

Reckon Yze would be great at Port

I'd say Essendon are munsoned out in the middle of no-where. Yze will coach the Giants and they will have to go the short-listing process. Diddums

Loved Kingpin!

I wouldn't wanting to be hanging around the western suburbs of Sydney, I think it is a s*it of a place, I was stationed at Holsworthy a few decades ago and it was bad enough then and from what I have seen it has gotten worse.

Apologies to anyone here who lives in that area but that is my opinion.

It’s still pretty bad, but Giants Stadium, (or whatever it’s called) is pretty much Inner West these days.

Wow! I know Yze was stiff to miss out but Adam Kinglsey has been waiting his chance too so could to see him get a gig.

Ooze to the Bummers isn't cool. Just get Hirdy back

Have a really bad feeling this might be due to Essendon, but I'm hoping not...

*This was done. Yze was going to be heading there. The only hesitation was moving the family but it was all set.

That was until Rutten was sacked.

Tough on Yze. Deserves a top job

Why?  He's got a top job as an assistant coach at Melbourne surrounded by top people going for B2B premierships. Who the hell would want to coach  mangled clubs like GWS and Essendon. Career killer.

Stay at Melbourne build up an impressive CV then make a move 2023/4. Geelong could be available if they go out in straight sets again. I cant stand Geelong but AFL is a ruthless business.

Coaching Essendrug would be very foolish as a first time Coach. Yze would know this.

Help Coach a 3peat at the Club he loves

Have been told from a very reliable source that Yze’s parents have been spotted shopping for Real Estate in Western Sydney. His mum was also wearing an orange top. Make of this what you will.

*Can confirm it’s a done deal.

**Told by a reliablish source.

***It’s a done deal but it’s not yet.

****Will be announced shortly, unless it’s not.

*****Disregard the above. Kingsley has been announced as GWS coach.

******Have been informed by a source within the coaches box that Rutten being fired lead to GWS reneging the done deal with Yze.

Possibly, but I also know he wasn't super keen on moving the family while still at school.

Wherever he goes he will be successful anyway I reckon. (I'd just hate it to be at Essendon)

He could do that and we'd all be delighted

But in terms of securing a job now I don't think he needs any further experience. He's been part of 2 coaching teams that delivered flags. Been the 2IC on both occasions. I think he's ready

Go for three peat flags although there's a chance he might have been at Hawthorn  2013-15.

Not 100% sure ,you might have me. lol

They have burned too many Rookie Coaches

There are Good and Bad jobs on offer…

He should stay where he is for now

Only a very few people could touch Essendrug right now. Similar to the MFC after Neeld

Yze would be very ill advised to walk into that infected trap

Don't disagree mate, but he's very very keen to be a senior coach.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
