Just getting paranoid about Brisbane getting a ton of percentage over us, even if it’s early days.

If we win more games percentage doesn’t matter

Wonder if premiership player Ben Brown is having any regrets about leaving?

Edited by FarNorthernD

Flew way out west for a friend's birthday celebrations this weekend. Said friend has got us tickets to The Derby today. Finally getting to experience Boo Stadium first-hand (and six months too late).

Dees Premiership polo ready to wear.

With him in the team, they could have gone down by only 15 goals for a face saving gallant defeat.

4 points > percentage

I actually think about a number of clubs ... my anger and dislike of them occupies large amounts of my thinking time. Is that normal? Especially the filth ... and the following (in no particular order) -  Jee-long, Richmond, Essendon (although less these days cos they're pretty hopeless), Footscray.

I hear you, Bingers. I’ve let Essendon live rent-free in my head for decades. Recently a friend asked me who I think I might barrack for if Melbourne ever ceased to exist *shudder* He was shocked when I said probs Essendon 🤮 (Soz reflex action). My logic being: The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. Therefore, I think I’d have an easier time converting my intense and undying hate for Essendon into love of a similar degree. The path from indifference to love would be so much longer.
Hmmmm, maybe I need to see a therapist.

Lol- even text predictor knows how much I hate that loathsome pack of ferals…

Who have Brisvegas played so far…??

I'm about to head to the G for the Bluebaggers/Poos & Wees match.

It's an interesting experience going to a match as a neutral. I suspect the highlight will be the afternoon tea. I know there will be sandwiches, party pies & liquified dust (which is supposed to be coffee). Not sure whether there will be scones ... hope so. I'm joining my MUCH OLDER friend in the 50 year section of the members.  (I don't qualify personally as I am much, much younger than him.)

Likewise SWYL.

Cats at GMHBA this week will be their first test.

They look good but the GF will be at the G in September.

Enjoy the day out. Safe in the knowledge there'll be 1 less unbeaten team at the end of the match.

Your problem will be who to support to make it happen.  or who do you hate least - Blues or hawks.

Really tough decision from where I stand but will be wathcing the game on the tele with that angle in mind.

Today, I hate the Hawks more.

Should be a fun, high scoring match. Carltons defence is looking shaky but they have plenty of fire power

I hope Hawks win today because Hawks aren’t actually good enough to do any real damage and if they win it proves that Carlton probably aren’t either.
I am a deeply mean spirited footy fan

Essendon were absolutely horrible especially the first half. Dragged us down to their level .

Our execution was sloppy but our structure was impeccable. I was never really worried even when they hit the front. We just suffocated them and they had no answers at all.

Strangle, suffocate then score. The Demon way.

McKay and Curnow are the best KPF double act in the league by a long way

Clearances and conversion are where Carlton would destroy us.

Are you saying they're going to win the flag?

Are the Blues as good to watch live as they are on TV right now? Coz they’re looking  great from where I am.

How good do you reckon Port are feeling?

Lost to the hawks by 10 goals at home!

At this rate Hawthorn could drop from 173% to 73%.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
