I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we got rolled on Friday night. The GC game was really taxing and Max Gawn admitted it so. 6 day break makes it tough.

I won’t lose any sleep over an upset. We have won 9 games in a row, and we all know how long the season is.

Let's see how good our conditioning is post-Burgo then

Puck that. Would rather drop the one against Port next week, than lose to this Scum.

Can you imagine how [censored]-a-hoop the Bummers supporters would be if they got over the line against us? We owe it to the entire football world not to allow this.

Given the sensitivity of the auto-censor, I'm quite surprised your nickname for Essendon got through unscathed.

Mind you, if the Essendon equivalent of Demonland is equally as sensitive, it must drive them absolutely nuts every time they want to discuss arguably their best player ever in [censored] Reynolds.

When we were rubbish we got smashed by the media weekly but didn't help us win....totally overrated as a motivator and a factor in who wins or loses!

Beautifully posited, MR.

HERE YA GO DEMONLANDERS...... ENJOY LATEST FROM INJECTIONDON LAND

1 We should have picked Oliver!

2 My smoke alarm battery has just started beeping. The night has gone from bad to worse.

3 Brayshaw 20 marks is embarrassing

4 Their mids ran circles around is all night.

5 Parish has lost his hunger.

6 They are clearly the better side

Their polish ball in hand miles ahead of us.

66 inside 50’s their way to our 39. The fact we remained in touch despite the weight of ball they had fwd prob wouldn’t happen too often.

Their mids flogged us really for possessions. Winning at the contest and using it far better around the ground. 30+ from both their wingers who are gut running machines both offensively and defensively

Another random observation.

Langdon time on ground 100%.
For 30+ touches, a freak goal that ended us, and a zillion kms ran.

We need to get fitter if we are going to get to that top echelon.

Theirs
Petracca 92%
Oliver 88%
Brayshaw 87%
Viney 74%

And Rutten says :- " But we have played three of last years finalists already"  Drrrr  And your point ?

at one point in the third quarter this game was like that time when the Washington Generals scored a goal against the Harlem Globetrotters.

To have a player like Oliver must be a luxury... Refuses to lose a contest.

Our skills are deplorable. Our players are dumbasses. We have no structure. Our #1 ruckman offers nothing around the ground.  We're not getting much out of this season. At least I don't have to care anymore. Go Dons.

we were absolutely woeful, and at no point did we really look like a real threat at all. we don’t run, lead or chase. We get out bodied all the time and most of our positive ball movement was a result of a Demon’s mistake or a lucky bounce. the scoreboard flattered us enormously.

In fairness I'd say that when we got that goal in front Melbourne's mids, and Oliver in particular , turned the wick right up and a few of our players , not necessarily mids, were found wanting under the blowtorch.

McGrath finds his best role which is when he doesn't have the footy. What a waste of a number 1 pick

i don't know about you guys but i'm going to stop thinking about this game and go have a squiz at the port board

I liked this one the best.

Melbourne’s wings make everyone’s half backs look stupid. They close down space really well

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
