Well Bevo got what he wanted. Watching the sports news and not a single mention of how the Dogs lost yet again or gave up a good lead yet again. Deflection for the win.

Happy for us to go under the radar. All they’ve avoided was heat on their performance. Their issues don’t disappear though.

Bevo sincere apology lands after Tom Morris self inflicted hit-job lands...

Yes, i chuckled at that.

The content of those audio clips does make me wonder what sort of malicious scuttlebutt Morris might have been pushing spreading to his 'mates' about some of the doggie's players that he wasn't reporting on, but that Beveridge was aware of.  It is a very small industry and gossip works two ways.

Might go some way to explaining how livid Beveridge was.

Better than someone else writing one for him

But didn't surface till late arvo

Not to sound cynical , think it was written by someone else, the president of Dogs runs Disney Australia . She knows words matter

I swear on my children's grave i posted this before i knew anything about the two audio recordings floating about.

I'm glad we didn't have time to canonize Morris.

What incredible irony that he has been exposed for who he truly is in this fashion.

Surely he is toast employment wise.

Dieter, don't the germans have word for the pleasure i am experiencing?

schadenfreude ?

Bevo should be apologising to the MFC and all of its members by highlighting that Tom Morris barracks for Melbourne

To be fair most teams get a free pass when they lose to the best team in the comp

So true. What an embarrassment.
Morris is an asshat

That's starting to become my feeling as well.

My hunch is that Bevo might have been keeping his powder dry on another matter so as not to breach confidences on a more sensitive topic. What this topic is, I'm not sure and can't say, but I've been in personal and professional situations like this where I've gone for the throat on what seems to be a trivial matter but the crux of the real issue is usually a lot more explosive.

While some of his rhetoric and conduct has been a bit odd lately, that outburst seemed incongruent with a bloke willing to give his coach's premiership medal to Bob Murphy.

I'm very glad I've stayed well out of this. I have seen enough cancel-culture behaviour in the last 5 years to know where this could have gone. I was not shocked at all when clips of Morris began popping up, and although I thought what Beveridge did was totally unprofessional, my view of the character of Tom Morris would not allow me to stick up for him…so I kept my mouth shut for once and it worked!

Yay me.

It would explain some of the oblique, seemingly unrelated comments, for example the suggestion of mental health impacts of Morrison's reporting

Who was the women he was referring to? Such a sad situation.

One a-hole cancels another a-hole who then cancels that a-hole in return. So 2022.

Would've definitely been written for him

So now we find out the real Tom. Not much sympathy now. Remember Tom, things recorded can be found. Always thought he was a bit swifty.

Tom being a pickle and Beveridge being a pickle are two separate issues.

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
