I understand that after all these years wanting a home base for the football club but how many time has Kate Roffey said that things are progressing behind the scenes but cannot comment on it at this time, we will let the members know as soon as we can, that will be the same answer again.

Hahahahahaha! 😂 Yes! Exactly!

Dear Kate Roffey, when will our new Home Training Base be built? Asked at least 50,000 times!

I am all for contributing to a future fund as long as it gets bloody built!

There will be one nuffy in the middle who complains about something ridiculously minor that only they're interested in.

The length of Simon’s new contract?

No more physical membership cards?

The seats they got for the grand final replay in December?

Have we got space in the trophy cabinet for this years' cup?

We're lucky enough to have a coach that has participated in back to backs as a player (excl M Voss/J McCrae/Mitchell who I treat as a newby senior coaches way outside the Flag window) .

I asked the question about what he learnt from that experience then that will help him/the Club now to achieve the 2022 flag.

Surely 40,000 plus e-mails asking about Dogga's contract?

Might be good to understand why the QB clash at the MCG is a Collingwood home game in 2022, given we haven't been able to play there the last 2 years?

If we count 2022, in the last 4 years Collinwood will have played 2 QB home games at the MCG (~$2mill revenue) and we haven't played any (probably generating a loss for games interstate)

Fantastic.  Is there anything suitable for the ladies?

That's actually a valid question.

I definitely prefer physical membership cards but I can deal with a mobile phone digital membership I guess....

However, what about elderly MFC members or those who don't have Smart Phones? My Dad is 73 and has no clue how to set up a digital membership.

Just because we have all this technology doesn't mean we should be forced to use it in every aspect of our lives.

Not the club's call on physical membership cards going.

Nicely put Supreme Demon. Much appreciated. I’m 73 also and have a Demon supporter in my street who will help me in March when the Club gets the bar codes. While I’m here my favourite reads are the Post Grand Final thread, the training reports and now on Game Plans a couple of members explaining to me what went on in that 3rd quarter.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
