I’m the same as you Satan, AFL club support and have yet to receive the e-mail

Here's what the email says:

Join us for the ultimate Premiership Celebration on Sunday 5 December!

Alongside a crowd of passionate Demons' fans, you'll be able to relive all the moments of the historic Grand Final win on the big screen. This will be followed by a presentation of the 2021 Premiership team on-field.

Those present at the event will also have the opportunity to win money-can’t-buy experiences.

 Ticketing information

Members will be able to access a free ticket from 2pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 24 November.

If you’re an MCC member, you will also be able to access tickets to the Members Reserve via your MCC membership barcode. You’ll receive communication from the MCC with further information.

To access the member pre-sale on Wednesday, enter your unique code into Ticketek:

 XXXX9999

A limit of ten (10) tickets per transaction applies. You can access up to ten (10) tickets per code. This means, if booking with other members or non-members, you only need one (1) code to access up to 10 tickets.

Tickets will be allocated on a best available basis based on the best viewpoint of the stage.

Free tickets will open to non-members from 2pm on Thursday 25 November. If you’re booking after this time, you no longer need to use your code to access free tickets.

 Event information

MCG | Sunday 5 December
Gates open: 10.30am
Event starts: 11.00am

With COVID-safe practices in place, the MCG event will be open to fully vaccinated patrons only (unless aged under 12) as per Victorian government advice.

displayed QR code, before presenting either a digital or printed COVID-19
vaccination certificate at the gates.

Quick question, you are an AFL member? Not a MFC or MCC Member, so essentially you are a member of the public correct. So why would you be waiting for an email from the Club? Do they normally send you an email congratulating you on being a AFL Member? ( asking for a friend ).

so normal members and afl club support can get Thursday to bottom 4 bays either side of members? the photo on ticketek  indicates 8 coloured bays for non mcc members

yes, been afl since 92 so havent needed  to apply

\afl has lost value over years . other members can confirm, originally guarenteed gf ticket,,also back in 92 only 2 home teams at g

later hawks, blues pies moved there, put pressure on the numbers , became gold silver bronze , gold club guarentees a paid ticket for gf if your playing in gf,, neutral gold  supporters than get a chance for balance  , usually gone in minutes.  silver to gold takes years  now

if you get to 40 years ? you get platinum , half price of gold membership i think, bit like gold ticket in willy wonker. think you have to be a vfl wave rly  member for years before 92

If you're an AFL member with club support, you're a member of that club. Counted in the membership numbers, chunk of the coin goes to the club, club sends you the member pack etc.

so it seems the club hasn't sent all "members" an email yet

i'm sure by now they must know there is a problem......one would hope

well when you do get the email (which i'm sure you will) use your mouse to hover over the 'get tickets' button and at the start of the displayed url you will see 'ticketmaster'. Yet clicking on the button you go to 'ticketek' site.

Mrs Dw and I are Redleg Members, she is on auto renew and I strangely don't have to pay up until March after some conversations to sort some things out with the Membership team. She got her email at 5pm today, I've received nothing.

I would expect all 2021 members would be covered, irrespective of whether they have yet renewed for 2022 or not

it was the 2021 premiership after all

While I agree, it may be a slower process as they work through the various lists. As I said; Mrs Dw received her email at around 5pm so it's unlikely anyone will receive anything overnight. More emails may appear during tomorrow morning.

I got my email at 5.10. ticket start tomorrow so they had better get a Riggle on.

When I was doing some volunteer tasks for the club last year, it was because out of the 50K members there were 9,000 who had not provided the club with an email address or an incorrect one.

Makes it hard to contact people quickly, or at all......

As someone who provides data to our marketing team, I'm shocked it was that low given the cohort.

I live in Brisbane and got my email this arvo at 4.10pm. Would love to be there but will need to wait for the cup to come up here. Enjoy the day you lucky Vics.

Any idea where the stage will be positioned?

Not sure whether to use MCC or MFC Membership to grab the tickets today

Any idea if you need a member code for every ticket you buy today. Or can 1 code buy up to 10 tickets?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
