Does anyone know whether this will be streamed live for those of us that live interstate?

Wonโ€™t be much to livestream aside from the speeches. I suggest they will put together a video of the day. Makes the most sense.

bloody BS we canโ€™t get 75k Red&Bkue army swarming the G.. typical DA wankish behaviourย

What are you on about, there's no restrictions on numbers as of last week

I assume you'll be offering DA an apology for your outburst

Will there be any entertainment for kids while the game is on the screens?

That's what I'm wondering, will there be additional things like the regular family days they have? Or will we be confined to our seats while the game is replayed and then the presentation of players/coaches? Also will the replays be confined to the 2 screens at the ground? Or will there be large screens/projectors setup on the oval? Would be good to have some more info.

Yeah I'm not sure I'll bring the little ones if it's just the screen for 2 hours!

Pert's been really clear on this.

Its a replica , sort of, the best they can, of the GF day, and presentations etc at the end. For all of us who couldn't be there.

Carnivals are for Moomba. This is way too serious.

Well done MFCย  and MCC

watching the replay will be easy...

no one will bother until around 10 minutes into the third quarter and then it's 45 minutes odd of pure bliss.

Hopefully it's a nice day and one can wander in Yarra Park until the big moment

Lol OK mate

If that's all they're doing not sure as many will bother going as they expect. They should be making a day of it, having activities for the kids, merch tables setup etc with the game on screens around the oval/Yarra Park. It's a nice sentiment but just trying to replicate the GF experience will fall flat I think, especially if its just being played on the two MCG screens.

I believe that the sponsors will be there so I'm presuming giveaways (I'm hoping for a Jag). There will be entertainment at half time and other activities not sure if outside the ground.ย

And the sight of 30, 000 adults going bananas!

Maybe they can have the mini afl skills setup like they do outside afl members ย in YP

I'm putting it out there...during the Premiership Dec 5 party when Clarry streams through the centre to kick his goal....it would be awesome if the entire crowd in unison went "BANG....BANG BANG BANG!"

Even more awesome that everytime Clarry kicks a goal moving forward the Dees fans in the crowd go "BANG....BANG BANG BANG!"

A huge idea 13th. Lets get it done

I hope they get James Harmes on stage to dance and do the Melbourne shuffle! ๐Ÿ˜

I can't dance to save myself but I will definitely be dancing regardless!

The main aim is to get there to the MCG early to take a photo of my Dad and I holding that Premiership cup!

Would also be nice to hug Simon Goodwin and cry tears of joy and say thank you. But that might be a bit too much. I think he's already had plenty of that over the last few weeks.

Funny I was thinking of arriving just before half time DJ. My grand daughters are dropping hints about going with me but the little one is too young she will be bored in about 15 mins. From what I read on the email the program looks a little sketchy. Not sure what to expect besides a replay of the game and presentation of players afterwards.ย

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturdayโ€™s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFLโ€™s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterdayโ€™s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown andย  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
