I dont agree with these...

I know carroll wasnt super but he took a few good marks when needed, the whole backline didnt really work.

Bruce was one of our best, for once he stood out in a game when we were losing which doesnt really happen too often.

I dont think i saw Godfrey in that analysis... <_< i maybe wrong though

The coach - shy zen hausen

Some blame must go to the players

Completely and utterly disagree in regards to Bell. Was our best defender along with Jared, but an absolute mile. Not sure why he is rated so poorly around this place either. He showed Whelan how it's done today!

Carroll was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. He is a solid FB, but he is no star.

Miller was also good. How anyone can say he failed, is beyond me.

Marked nearly everything that came his way, kicked 2 very good goals and led hard all day. He was the only one still presenting in the last quarter.

White was awful out the middle. Jamar had more influence in the ruck than White.

I thought Bell was good.

Miller showed some good signs.

Agreed Bell will never be a good footy player. Bruce, Carroll were good. Miller was very good for his standard

You know it's gonna be a long, fruitless season when you can honestly say Bell was one of our best. And Miller tries hard. His hearts in the right place. But when it comes to disposal, I'd swear he was blind folded.

the worst 3 word analyst ive ever read!

miller was great today, stood up when needed, kicked well, kicked 3 goals what more do you want?

bell i thought was good also but its hard to be great when they run the ball into our backline with little to no pressure, also thought carrol was very good, out marked his opponet about 5 times and spoilt well all day

Bruce - leagues worst kick

Bate - league worst hands

Jamar - leagues worst ruckman

Moloney - leagues worst tackler

wtf is goin on? I disagree with so many of those analysises!~

Hmmm I feel like I watched a different game to you joeboy...

Miller presented, marked and goaled and worked hard all day, one of the very few that actually did. Did he fail? Absolutely not. One of the best games I think I've seen him play.

As for Bell - destroying Demonlanders' faith? I thought today was one of his best games, along with Miller. He didn't stop trying even after he got whacked in the nose.

Jones - made a contribution? I think that's a bit of an understatement. I thought he did much more than merely contribute. He was all over it, driving it long into our forward 50 rather than this pissy handball stuff that we saw again today.

Daniher said on Channel Nine that he wouldn't rule out dropping Davey and Trav to Sandringham - can you imagine? :o

Right just got home. Shocking game, but we did fight it out considering the bad run with injuries.

Whelan - was soundly thrashed

Carroll - was not disgraced

Bell - solid medium backman (I thought he did well today, though alot of you appear to disagree)

Brown - gave decent run

Rivers - well rounded game

Ward - under the pump

Johnstone - harassed to death/career worst game (yes he had a terrible game, but his team mates didn't help him out at all. he was blocked out of numerous contests by 2 men tagging him at once, and his team mates didnt do a thing to help him. I'm defending him because he's my favorite player. As sh*t as he was, I blame team mates for not showing any comradeship whatsoever. And therein lies our main problem currently)

Johnson - not doing enough

Green - poor milestone game

Davey - becoming a passenger

Moloney - another solid game (am I the only one on here who thinks he is actually doing well considering how little footy he has player the last year and abit?)

McDonald - battled as usual

Robertson - not much opportunity

Neitz - get well soon :S

Jones - made small contribution

Miller - is getting better

Jamar - is going nowhere

Bate - lacks confidence + form/mr butter fingers

Wheatley - poor milestone game

Bruce - battled all match

White - switched up game

Godfrey - what we expected (tried hard, but just isnt a good enough AFL footballer)

Terrible start to the season for us. Slightly worried, but we lost first 3 last year and came back. Problem is we've lost 2 at the G already, that's more than the entire season last year :S I had both matches penciled in as a win, and they'll obviously come back to haunt us.

CMON DEES. LIFT YOUR F*CKING GAME!

"Miller was great!" Competitive maybe. But Great? Come on. You're as confused as Miller when he gets possession.

Carn The Dees, it's Happy Hour! Every twit, unconsidered opinion gets aired post-game usually by relatively new posters or a few oldies (ie YNSM) with axes to grind. Ride with it and look for more thoughtful posts later on.

Miller - Showed good improvement

Bruce - Stood up (but poor disposal)

Moloney - Again, one of our best

Godfrey - Battled, but not in the best 22

Yeah I've been ranting. But I'm upset damnit! I want my pound of flesh. I'm living in Sydney with Vic plates and Demons stickers on my car. What do I get for it? Key scratches down the side and flattened tires. All I want is this list to start fullfilling it's hyped up potential. Do right by the fans and make an effort. They're a rabble from the evidence so far.

I must have been at a different game than most of you:

Bruce - a liability today

Bell - solid effort today

Miller - better show today

Bate - half paced butter-fingers

Godfrey - battled on typically

Ward - His opponent was?

Jamar - slow reaction time

Jamar - misses the boat

When we were down by 6 goals, the only player running and tackling hard was TJ

that is the worst analysis ever! do u actually watch the game? bell played a great game and so did miller! Carroll put in a solid effort and without him we would have been beaten by a larger margin and how u say bruce is not an elite anymore just shows your pathetoc support for some of these players.. next time actually watch the game.

Can people please think before they completely shoot down certain players!

Daniel Bell...........how anyone can bag this bloke is beyond me!

Here is a kid finally getting his chance to play regular seniors footy after having to wait his turn to play half back while players like Brown, Wheatley, Bizzell, Walsh, Ward have been in his way over the previous seasons.

He has played 25-30 odd games, and I have see him improving in each one of them.

Let's not forget his broken ankle he had at the end of 2005, and a hamstring problem early last season before coming back into the team and being one of our most consistent in the run into the finals last year.

Players like Bell are a part of our teams future!

What do supporters want to do.....scrap the whole list and start from scratch ????

Cut the guy some slack!!!!!!

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
