I don't want either of them to be winners tonight, but clearly one of the teams has to prevail.

It's then a matter of who I would take most pleasure out of seeing lose and, on that basis, I find myself in the unfamiliar position of hoping that Port wins ... by a kick after the siren.

Nick Hind has been forced out of the Bombers team because he visited a tier 2 exposure site. He can’t travel to Tasmania.

Port should get up tonight in a close one

Cats will start strong but the 6 day break and old games underdone players will catch up.

ports midfield is in good form

Wow we are still so young. Who would have thought Sparrow and Bowey would be playing finals and not Hibberd and Melksham

Who fancies a Grand Final against Port in Adelaide?

Could still be at The ‘G

Keen for Geelong to go out in straight sets, but wouldn't be averse to seeing about a dozen torn hammys regardless of who gets up.

Dogs got stiffed big time after nominating Adelaide Oval as their preferred venue for this week. HQ will want the Bummers getting through this week for sure.

Anticipating umpire-led Bombers supremacy?

For those who are undecided who to barrack against tonight, consider the following ....

  • Hawkins
  • Selwood
  • Rohan
  • Scott

Surely it's not a difficult decision !!!

Never in doubt. I would never barrack for Geelong. They disgust me.

He picked up a takeaway lunch he would've been there for 5 minutes - utterly ridiculous he can't play with a negative test.

I wouldn’t say it’s utterly ridiculous he has to abide by state COVID regulations, but it’s not like he went shopping for faberge eggs and gold plated tiaras.

Reminds me Chunks first season

Port to win by 20 points tonight, coming from behind.

GWS to beat an injury-hit Swans by 10 points.

Bombers to beat the Dogs by 18 points (even though I REALLY don't want them to)

Dees by 24 over the Lions.

This sounds quite accurate to me

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
