Bloke subbed off. Should be a week but probably won’t

Has to be a minimum of two weeks. Tackled the player ..drove his head into the ground ..free kick paid ..Saints player straight off with concussion. Pretty good Hawkins with shabby actions..Stephen May says hello 😏

Popped onto the match page on the AFL app. Oddly I didn't see any mention of this incident. If it was ANB they'd already be building the gallows.

Heroic stuff by Hawkins. Did his best to prevent the Saints player from self concussing himself.

So will scott at the press conference say he didnt see hawkins tackle?

So. Assuming we win tomorrow (I know, I know), if we lose next week and Port beat Doggies, we’re off to Adelaide. Fate in our hands and all that. Unless Dogs beat Port, which they will….maybe…..not….probably….aaaaah, who the [censored] knows. 🤯

Port making Teague's tenure rather tenuous.

I don’t recall that there are degrees of tenuousness.

Most importantly, did ch 7 make a judgement?
If not Christian won’t even look at it.

Under the matrix it’s reckless and high impact ( concussion) which is 1-2 weeks.

interested to see how Christiansen spins this. Probably medium with a fine. In fact I’m 100% sure this is what will happen.

Was watching the port/carl game earlier and I cannot believe how a side can switch off like Carlton. About 1/2 way through second quarter and they threw their hands up in the air. Later watched the last quartwe of saints and geelong and i came to realise how much I hate geelong. They are up their wit the filth.

96 point loss for Marc Murphy in his final game.

Poor guy. He's been a warrior for the Blues in the same way Jones has been for us.

They left it at “momentum”. Which is bulltish if you look at the side view. Hawkins very obviously flung him down in the last movement, based on the side view. But you’re right, won’t be looked at.

Can’t see Geelong losing 3 in a row so perhaps not a bad thing if they win.

They won't be too desperate to beat us now. If they had of been playing for a top 4 finish then they would have been harder.

Now just an even type of game.

Both wanting to go into the finals with momentum.

Jeelong 3 Home Games in a Row

Just checking

What an Armchair ride they get down at Taxpayers Stadium 🏟

is it possible we could play Cats 3 times?

No it would only be twice

could be 3 out of 4!!!

Hasn’t been told yet whether to look at it or not.

Fast start at the Gabba with 3 goals within 2 minutes of game time.

The mrp is a joke but i would think Christian looks at at least all incidents involving concussion and especially being subbed off. A week probably coming up for tom.

I am hoping for 2nd with cats on top. Then dees and cats straight into prelim after week 1. Only meet cats then  once in gf. The trick in top 4 is to win week 2.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
