Umpires will ensure Dogs win this. Don’t worry about that.

It’s 11-8 hardly a factor at this stage. Still a quarter go though.

Feeling dirty watching this.  Am I barracking for those drug cheating whinge bags?  I’m confused!

We all are

I hope I'm wrong of course but I sense the dogs will roll over the top of them in the final term. Not that I'm worried in the context of us playing them. Keith is already gone and it's just a matter of time before Schache turns back into...well, Schache. There's already signs today of the real Josh Bruce showing through the thin veneer of invincibility they coated him with pre-season.

Schache injured?

Who's this Peter Wright fella? Looks a decent forward.

He's actually toughening up quite a bit. That was the knock on him early on.

Much better player at the moment.

If Essenton beat the Bullfrogs we are effectively being gifted not only top 4 but also top 2. Must beat Eagles to really solidify our intentions. I'd very much like for us to not "Melbourne" this and [censored] the bed.

Ugh. I just caught myself saying “nice, Jake (Stringer)” and now I’m questioning my life and all that’s good in the world.

The Bulldogs are so lucky with free kicks and 50 metres

Quite amazing really. Cannot be a coincidence given it has happened for 6 seasons.

Patently obvious Umpires are just not up to, or just cannot cope with speed, regulation and interpretation of their/ our game without assistance from not only administration but surely cognitive, respectable media types.

7 seater Peter with his 7th!!!

Eat [censored] dogs.

Unbelievable. Dogs need 5 goals in 8 minutes. We better not stuff up tomorrow night.

This is unbelievable!!!!

Thank you Essendon!

Still hate you with a passion though

How good is that kicking for goal!?!

That's how they get you in. It's gateway barracking. One minute you're saying "nice, Jake" and before you know it, you're on bigfooty saying the AFL have hired hitmen to go after Hirdy.

Go Bombers! (Vomits slightly in mouth) 🤢

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
