If I had to I’d go with Richmond. The team ethos, manic pressure and of course Dusty. It’s hard to dislike Dusty.

In terms of GF I hope neither of them make it.

There's less entitlement about Richmond. Dubious gamesmanship which i don't like at all but they seem to be very workmanlike and team orientated.

I agree. I feel like Richmond do the work.

Geelong is harder to like as Selwood and Hawkins walked into an incredible side early on, and Cameron, Rohan, Dangerfield, Smith and Higgins all went chasing success. It’s their right, but for those of us emotionally wedded to the loyalty of one side it feels a bit dirty.

Its why I don’t like Lynch at Richmond either.

If the AFL do the sensibel thing, which is usually long odds, then the bye wil be after prelim weekend.

yes, Lyon rested quite a few in the last game when finals sown up, to avoid them flying to tasmania.  Good idea by Lyon that caught the AFL napping. Who knows may have helped them make the GF that year

Was hoping for a Bulldog win for that very reason. Sadly, it did not eventuate. At home, with the crowd and umpires ready for some crowd-pleasing decision-making, plus a heap of last quarter luck, Geelong got up. We will have to go super-hard against all vying teams at the top of the current ladder in the rest of this year's fixture. We can do it to ideal effect but we must sort the forward line and midfield ordinairiness.

I genuinely don’t understand the need for the Gold Coast Suns.

I think the Suns burnt up all their hydrogen and collapsed under their own weight a few years ago but the light just hasn't reached us yet.

For mine, it’s just a pointless club. 
I don’t know, set up a club on the Mornington Peninsula. Couldn’t be worse than the nothingness that is the GCS. At least you could knick off to a winery if the team is rubbish.

Suns look lost.  Dew should be sacked and replaced by Ross Lyon. The Suns need a tough experienced coach.

And yet some still call for 20 teams and or conferences….

The Suns are a pointless ego trip for AFL HQ. Never played finals, can't keep players, losing culture, no supporters. The outlook is grim. The NRL struggle to keep the titans viable so what makes the AFL think they can make a go of the Suns.

This ends in one of two ways. The Tasmanian Suns or disbandment
