GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Brisbane

Featured Replies

Oliver and Trac need to do a hell of a lot more and we need Salem back to his best. Especially without Langdon. We can’t move the ball forward when we get it half back, just as I suspected.

It will be a long night if we don’t start winning some contested footy in the middle.
Our defense is really concerning me. Not just the back 6, all over the ground. Shades of the Adelaide game. Let’s see what we learnt from that loss.

If Hipwood plays on from a mark foward of the mark and out of bounds why isn't play on and then out of bounds?

Because OOOAAhhHHHH HIPWOOOOOOOD!!!!!

McDonald, Weideman and Jackson have a combined total of 4 disposal. That's our 3 key forwards who have done nothing.

Keep it up and you can take your pick out of Weideman and Jackson who goes out for Brown.

Jackson up forward is useless and Weideman just doesn't demand it enough.

It’s hard for them to get involved. Inside 50s are 9-14, they were 6-6 at one stage so they went on an 8-2 run at the back end of that quarter. Ball is spending too much time in our back half.

First team to make us look poor all year.

what's the response Demons?

I’m getting serious Adelaide vibes from this game. Their ball movement is flowing way too smoothly. Frontal pressure and covering back exits needs to lift 5 fold.

Getting a lesson on how to create one on one contests.

We are playing from behind.

 A few a bit fumbly.

Backline need to do some chop outs.

Not making he most of when we have the ball.

This is has been a really technical game, as Brisbane try to pick apart our structures by mixing the tempo (ie control the ball but strike quickly when available). They've also pressured our forward ball movement really well.

Great to watch, I wish I could see the structures and zones instead of the zoom camera angle.

How do we get Oliver and Tracc back into this?

Would help if we could win a clearance!

But yes, Weideman is never there when you need him.. and Jackson has the conviction and marking ability of a nervous 12 year old.

Brisbane marking everything so far, but if they're gonna keep playing slow like this, then they'll need to keep grabbing them all game. Our work around the contest has been poor by our standards so far, but Brisbane's pressure has been excellent. Gawn dominant in the ruck, but need Oliver and Petracca to break out of the stoppages more as the game goes on.

He had a decent game last week, so he is due for another seven down games.

It would be funny mate if it wasnt true.

Talk about bruis free footy.

No dispisals snd NO tackles is not acceptable.

Hes there...is it so hard to crash a pack or hip and shoulder someone if you cant get a touch?

Is it just me or are the commentators barracking for the Lions?

They are. So are the umpires.

I actually thought it has been one of the more even commentary efforts I've heard this year.

Lions can win the flag this year. Make no mistake about it. They are sensational.
