Bar the last ten minutes I think that’s the best we have played all year. Centre square clearances became an issue that needs to be addressed or we will struggle to hang on. Rivers has been terrific, I really hope dropped marks don’t cost us the game.

I think you’re being pretty generous suggesting that five dropped marks is a good thing.

Finals are won by ruthless teams who go at 100 for the whole game. 10-15 minutes of dropping off can and has cost teams finals and premierships.
Gotta get better at choking up oppositions.
But I acknowledge the Dogs are very good at Marvel and they are one of the few sides who can punish you severely in the space of minutes.

Yep, that’s exactly it Jaded. Need to frustrate this half.

Good half . My Worst fear was being blown away early, my second worst is leading by 5 goals and letting it slip. Just have that feeling dogs have a lot of improvement in them and we can’t put sides away.

-talls dropping marks they should take

- picket needs to stay low and and go hard at the ball he’s falling over too much

- the umpiring grinds my gears

Both have been terrible calls, the last one in particular, Chamberlin is a xxxx.

Yes if call those you have to call the doggies wild shot at goal that went out of bounds surely that quarter. Yes he was going for goal but got it wrong just as we were looking for someone but got it wrong.

Max gets in everyone’s way when he’s going up for marks

Wasn't that a great half from Rivers!  Common boys.  Max, LJ, Weid, Melk & Hunt really need to lift here to win this.  Cant carry that many on a downer against this mob

Pickett held and taken high ... play on FFS

No way we will run away with this. the dogs are a seriously good team. I still reckon it will be less than a kick in it in the end.

3 plays and 3 free kicks not payed. Unbelievably bad umpiring.

It’s all about voice, calling each other in and out.

Need so much more from Jackson...hasnt taken a mark nor has samw.

Not good from two tall fwds.

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. The Demons return to the spotlight for one of our most significant nights on the football calendar, taking on the Tigers in a clash that always carries extra weight given the gravity of occasion of the commemoration of the ANZAC Spirit. Under the lights, in front of a packed house, this is where moments are made. Can the Dees rise to the occasion and deliver on the big stage, or will Richmond spoil the night? All the build-up, discussion, and in-game reactions here. Go Dees.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
