Any chance we could get the Suns to Melbourne tonight and play them at Marvel?

Yes that’s AFL best option. Get Suns to Melbourne into quarantine and have tests.  Play on Monday night !!

There could be a min hub in Perth and suns would have to fly there today, possibly Brisbane and bombers too.

Holy heck, SEN reported we were turned around midair and en route to PER right now, need to land somewhere to refuel!

WOW

What's the drama? They merely need to refuel. It's likely they'll stop in Alice and head on to Perth...

...and this is the reason they can't move the GF to Perth or anywhere else this year.

State Premiers will make the right decisions fro their people as should be, not the AFL.

The WA Premier has also shown he will shut things down quickly.

Keep it close now, hub in Melbourne for the series and finish it off here crowds or no crowds.

100% agree.
The majority of clubs in the 8 are from interstate. Meaning it’s going to be far too complicated and risky to plan so many interstate finals. Just hub everyone here and make it happen.

One report says the AFL will cancel the pre-finals bye and schedule byes over the next 4 weeks.  If correct our bye is this weekend.  Same for other finals contenders:  Swans, Port, GWS, Ess.

Look on the bright side:  we play Eagles without a full game today in the mid-aft sun.  Give the sore players a chance to freshen up.  And we get into Perth at a civilised hour rather than 1.00am.  Lads can be tucked up in their little beds nice and early!

We have 30 players on the plane.  Play a 15-a-side scratch match tomorrow to keep some touch and match fitness.

I would much prefer rolling byes for the next 4 weeks than the a condensed fixture into 3 weeks like last year.  We have already played on a 5 day break so won't get another one.

We will be fine.

I suspect the AFL is working very hard to shift todays 4.15 pm Pies vs Eagles game to tonight to ensure there is a Sat night time game.  Too late to shift other games.

Where and against who?

Probably GC, looks like they are trying to get all clubs out of Qld...but I'm not sure the WA Premier will go along with it.

Looks like the game will be in Melbourne now...we're being sent back.

It will be tomorrow or even Monday.

Genuinely entertaining reading the 30 or so posts preceding this one (from the time the Qld lockdown was announced) with the benefit of hindsight. So much (understandable) panic and that's just on Demonland. Just imagine how much lather AFL HQ was in!

Strong chance Brisbane won’t be able to play anymore home and away games in QLD given the government just extended their lockdown. Good for us!

They're due to play the Dockers @ Optus next Sunday, hope they're there already...did they fly straight there? Lockdown in QLD mooted to end that Sunday.

Week after that, v Pies @ Gabba, they might allow that, then Weagles at Gabba..
