How about a bag for game day?

I was thinking a flap with a zip up the top to hold your footy record. A small holder to slot your flag into. Inside a separate compartment for food/one for clothes, scarfs, etc. A holder on the side for drink bottles, cans, etc.

I was looking for something similar at the demon shops. All they have is those almost completely black bags that are either too expensive or too cheap. It looks like they just grabbed some random bag and stuck our logo on it. Doesnโ€™t have the demons feel.ย

Add long sleeve footy jumpers to the list of things they need.ย

Was lucky to get one years ago. I agree. Off-topic, but I hate the short-sleeved over regular jumper look. Itโ€™s just not me

Demons themed beer holder that clips onto the back of the seat in front of you, or if you're like me and prefer standing on the outer; can click onto the wire fence. Good for crowd noise, means we can clap with two hands...

Thats exactly what they did.ย

Thats why it looks [censored].

Said it before, the AFL, clubs efforts at producing quality, desirable merch is laughable.

With the exception of meat cleavers, which are readily available.

Same with the face mask. I bought one at the G on Sunday. For starters, itโ€™s black, not blue. And like you said of the backpacks, itโ€™s like theyโ€™ve just slapped our logo on thereby quadrupling the price. And, itโ€™s way too big, one size fits all, my arze.ย
End of whinge. ?

As someone who works in product development, you need to understand that the โ€œslap a logo on itโ€, is the only way the AFL can produce anything within a reasonable price point. There is not enough of a market for individualized items for each club. They make a generic item and just slap a logo on it to make it fit into a price point.ย
Production minimums would suggest that for things like bags, which are quite pricey to make (number of pattern pieces, hardware etc), they would use a generic bag a supplier is already making and have them add different logos to it.ย
ย

I know itโ€™s not ideal and badย design is still bad design, but the AFL is not the NBA. There is no market for it and so the merchandising is always going to be expensive and rather poorly designed.ย
ย

I actually think that Cotton On does a really nice AFL range. They have the buying power to keep their price points low and their designs more on trend.ย

Nice idea Cassie. I'd include a disposable poncho as I haven't dodged the rain all year (as yet).

Point taken. I confess to knowing very little, if not nothing, about marketing. What I DO know is that $15 is exactly $15 too much for an item, be it of shoddy quality or not, whichย is simply unusable. In this case a face mask which will only be useable if I cut the ear loops, shorten,ย then sew them back up (like a caveman). Oh,ย and if I donโ€™t mind the mask tickling my collarbone and grazing my eyelashes at the same time. ? Regardless, I was just venting, all good.โค๏ธ?

Yes I understand but I canโ€™t justify buying the same bag I could get elsewhere MUCH cheaper, then simply buy a patch and sew it on myself for free. I do want to support the club, but I donโ€™t want a black bag. Iโ€™d be willing to pay more for something that looked like demons merchandise.

My younger brother got the demons showbag in the mid-90โ€™s. Was a blue sportsbag with the โ€œcheekyโ€ demon on the side. Much cheaper (even allowing for inflation) and 100 times better thanย this rubbish.

On a Demon FB page someone had a picture of a pin set with 6-7 pins with our different logos from over the years, has anyone else seen this and or know where to get it?

Thanks

Sort of like a Demon tote bag? That would be kind of cool. Might already exist but I havenโ€™t studied the merch this year .ย

Was that the cuff link set? Nice but useless for female members.

Would need a pouch for the cheese board

And an insulated side pocket for the cheese (unless you want your Brie/Camembert nice and runny).

They may have been, I just assumed they were pins. Iโ€™ll have a look and see if I can find it.

I got an even newer idea, a bag to hold a 16 point lead. And it only needs to last 8 minutes. Would buy.ย

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
