At least hes got some acknowledgement.

Imagine how Nathan Jones and Robert Flower have been all these years of contrary, smart alecs

Tough game without the Weid and Brown.  Suddenly the firepower is probably Daw as the main target.

It’s unlikely that Jones will line up. Though given the Swans “bye” last week, he might try to keep match fit and play a half.

Does MFC membership still entitle free entry?

For the EFL /SPL watchers, is  a match at Casey Fields equivalent to Stoke City on a Tuesday night?

agree

take away the sub plus one emergency and Casey start to look vulnerable.

PS Jones definitely out with a hamstring for one to two weeks

I hope so. Will find out when I get there.

I see that like Casey, Geelong are undefeated at VFL level.

Will be a good test

Casey missing too many listed Dees players. Real test for the standard Casey players. Expected a 7 mfc 15 casey combo this week. Cats also have advantage of not resting their sub player as they have Friday night game.
At Casey, Demons are a chance but it will be tight.

Looking wet and windy for Saturday

Not exactly the most welcoming environment for visiting the windswept plains of Casey central.

Love the use of metaphor in description of Casey Ice works, "Winsdswept plains of Casey central"

At least the snakes are in hibernation, unlike a few months ago!

Kayo seems to be doing 3 other games.  I stumbled across this - no idea how kosher it is or where they'd be getting the feed from?

It can't be that hard for someone to send a camera operator down to Casey and set up a stream. Especially for two AFL affiliate clubs. There should always be a minimum single camera option for every VFL game, and IMO it should be included as an option for paid up Members.

Yep I bet those wetlands on the outer side attract the Tiger snakes in summer.

Once saw a large group of racing land yachts near the carpark.

Life's not dull at Casey

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
