The farce that is Ticketek has been failing for the past 2.5 hours. It is a shocking clunky system when it works. And that is rarely

Can't get any tickets for the Swans Dees game. Have tried only to be booted out at the last point after inputing all details for 10 tickets. Names, phone numbers, member numbers, credit card details.

Its a freaking joke

Every week there is some glitch. Ticketek needs to be shunted.

2.5 hours of my life I won't get back and I can't get tickets.

Anyone that is wondering why crowds are down this is a big part of it.

i didn't think ticketing was available till tomorrow

or is mcc and afl members different?

Its a absolute disgrace.  Ended up with seperate seats for my son and I on level 3 MCC as the system seemed upable to cope with buying more than 1 ticket at a time.  Hopefully we can shuffle this around on the day as as we can sit next to each other.

Its time the Government let a return to normal ticketing proceedures.

Even more annoying is that you get to the end of the process and it kicks you out. Each time that is a wasted 15 minutes

MCC is available (supposedly) at 9am Mondays

Almost as annoying as having to wait 60 seconds to post a second time on this forum. Ludicrous

I got tickets eventually, after about half an hour of trying and with eight or nine failed attempts. Absolutely hopeless...

Fortunately, the seats I did get were pretty good (M46 just undercover)...

I was kicked off 3 times had to re-input all the info got kicked off again didn't know if tickets were processed Had to re -input to see that the tickets were processed

Surely there are better systems available or they should rewrite the software

Its a Joke!

So clunky it hurts

MCC tickets 'no longer on sale' Grrr

Spent 2 hours getting kicked out of the Ticketek website at the final step. I eventually gave up. They have suspended MCC ticket sales until the problem is fixed. It’s bloody hopeless.

I spoke to the MCC, who assured me the seats are not sold out, but the sales were suspended until they rectified the problems.

As others note, this is sole reason that crowd attendance is down this year. People do not have the patience to engage a flawed system. If you aren’t tech savvy, it’d be even more of a nightmare.

In defence of Ticketek, I logged on at about 10.00am, "bought" my three MCC Reserve seats and logged out. Smooth transaction, took about 60 seconds from start to finish.

I had the same problems but finally got tickets. When we were in the finals in 2018 I spent hours online trying to secure tickets via Ticketek. They provide a woeful service and have the gall to charge fees!

I don't understand why Ticketek doesn't stagger the ticket releases so that their servers aren't hammered quite so much...

Anyway, sales resume at 3PM...

I had the same issue multiple trying to process a standard CC payment.  I think the CC Gateway is getting slammed and can't handle the traffic (i reckon the $$ they would make to fix the issue is probably less than the money they would make by fixing it sadly).  I changed my payment method to Clicktopay and it worked first time (before 10am this morning)

Really ? Great for you, but judging by social media backlash and the fact that they suspended sales, you are in the minority. It’s a joke of a system

In early rounds, I had the experience of completing my order and being kicked off, but it was because I wasn't putting in the number of seats for each MCC member for whom I was buying tickets (myself and siblings). But for the last two or three rounds, buying my seats has been a breeze. With regard to your delay today, maybe I just got lucky and logged in at a time when the system was working?

Of course you did.

You had the Flower magic working for you.

Smooth as silk.

Any update on when we’ll be at 100% capacity?

I just had lunch, but could fit a donut in.

So i'd estimate i'm at 97% capacity.

Is the 10 ticket limit only for MCC members? Club members email still states 6 max per transaction.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front.  They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
