Something has got to give.  We cant lose a a hugely improved 24 year old key forward just because T Mac (whos closing in on 30) is having a rebirth to start the season.

Would suggest you are answering your own question?  TMac replaced over time by Weid, when it is the right time.  Weid will definitely be the Future, TMac is doing a Great job for now.

Weid wont be at the club in 2022 if he cant get a game ahead of T Mac. Thats the point.   He will move on somehwere else and kick 50 next year.

And then who replaces t Mac?

Fair question, suggest the future has to be discussed with him so he stays and plays his role.  We will lose players due to the logjam, hopefully Weid isn’t one of them....

I'd forgotten how bad Tyson is

Doesn’t seem that long ago that Salem didn’t even rate a mention in the Kelly v Tyson/Salem debate. He was the steak knives at best.

Now Tyson is fighting to break into the worst side in the comp, Kelly has fallen off a cliff, and Salo right now would be the All Australian half back.

It’s a funny old game.

Its Great seeing Casey play but f me who is in charge of selecting the game that goes Live to Foxtel?

This is an awful awful game. I’m enjoying it very much.

Weids struggled this quarter but delivery to him hasn’t been good.

Seniors need to watch this and thump North !

No Lube preferably.

North have had a little purple patch where they’ve had a little control, it’s got scrappy.

Lost all rhythm, pretty ugly right now

Weid leads through 3 north players and gets it on his chest from Sparrow.

Goes back and kicks his 3rd.

56 to 3

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
