Richmond asked us a few big questions in that quarter and we had the answers. We will get to ask a few questions of our own before this game is done.....

We are fumbling, nervous, dropping easy chest marks and over handballing early in the qtr. it looked nigh on game over.

We settled somewhat, but they need to stay composed and focused, not worry about the grubbiness or all that crud and play our football and see if they can best it. Early on we are playing on their terms.

Mustchange that if we are to have any chance.

Huge crowd would take a while to settle.....some of our guys wouldnt have ever seen a crowd like this considering covid last year...

Jeez Richmond applied some serious heat - we stood up pretty well in the end

Hoping our fitness can see us going the distance. They really seemed to have a lot at contest after contest that quarter.

Richmond are sneaky bastards. Always with the sly dig in every contest.

Centre clearances 6-1

??  Salem ??  Anb ??

Our centre clearances are always woeful, we get cut up on the outside of!the centre circle.

Richmond threw everything at us, we responded. That amount of pressure last year we would be 6 goals down.

Let's keep it going, finals like pressure tonight!!

And Spargo tackle on Houli ?

ANB, you lack intestinal fortitude and that is the kind way of saying that.

Take that quarter. Got jumped early with an @$$y Riewoldt goal and then a turnover and hack kick goal. Richmond will nail us on turnovers if we cough it up. However they will run out of puff if we hold possession and make them chase.

Jordan taking Dusty (mostly) in the middle...then Hibb when he drifts forward.  Viney playing a bit at HF

I think Not where it’s in the goal square !!

If that's the best the Tigers have then they have nothing!

We'll win this!

We REALLY need to stick or tackles.

Tigers are shaking them off.

Its an isolated shower....will stop soon

Got to stop the fumbling

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.

  • NON-MFC: Round 09

Round 9 kicks off out west with the Dockers hosting a Collingwood side resting several stars. Fremantle need to make a statement on their home deck after some disappointing form on the road, while the Magpies will be keen to maintain their Top 2 position. Friday night sees a must-win clash between two sides desperate to stay in touch with the eight. St Kilda have shown glimpses while Carlton are clinging to relevance after a flat start to the season. Saturday’s twilight game at Marvel pits the Bombers against a struggling Sydney outfit. Essendon can’t afford another close match against a lower-ranked side, while the Swans risk sliding down the ladder even further. Up in Darwin, the fourth-placed Suns will look to extend their stay in the top four. The Bulldogs have hit their stride with three big wins on the trot and will be very keen to consolidate on their momentum. The always fiery Showdown looms as pivotal for both clubs. Adelaide are eyeing a spot in the Top 4 with a win, while Port Adelaide’s season could slip away if they drop another game and fall further behind the pack. Sunday begins with a yawn fest between Richmond and West Coast. The Tigers need to bank the points to stay clear of the bottom two, while the Eagles are still chasing their first win of the year. The Giants face one of the league’s toughest road trips as they travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats. With GWS at risk of a third straight loss, Geelong will be eager to consolidate their position inside the eight and start their climb up the ladder. The round wraps up with the top-of-the-table Lions heading to Ninja Stadium to take on the second-last Roos. The Lions should easily take care of the struggling Roos who might be powerless against the best in the comp. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?
