Is it possible to have happiness as a MFC supporter? We have spent 55 years thoroughly invested in unhappiness.

Unfortunately the club has inflicted unhappiness for 55 years  and we have history of dropping these games to teams below us...

In: Petty & Hibberd/M.Brown

Out: May & Fritta

I hope..

In: Petty & Hibberd

Out: May & Fritta

*Petty to start Fwd, unlikely but Hawks talls don’t require him up back

Looks like Petty for May

Hibbo for Jetta

M Brown for Fritsch.

Brown trained with the forwards, Petty, Hibbo with the backs.

I assume that probably means 22 plus sub... any indication as to who the sub might be?

Nah, don’t think you can tell from the session as they all do stuff in groups, so sub likely just goes to group where he would usually play.

I can’t shake the feeling this week is a danger game, it has all the hallmarks of a team getting ahead of themselves with one eye on next week against the tigers.

I hope whatever is going on at the club the only focus is getting the 4 points against the Hawks. Adelaide this year have shown that if you have high work ethic and belief any team can win on the day.

Rewatched the replay of the games against Saints and GWS over the last week. Both were a lot closer than we acknowledge on here. The absence of Fritsch really worries me as he was the catalyse for the come backs in both games, and we will really miss May.

It is important we win and win well. In at least two games so far we have been ahead by more than 30 points before three quarter time and failed to go on with it. We need to start burying opponents as we regularly did in 2018. We so far seem to lack the killer instinct.

Sparrow or Jordan perhaps?

Of those two, I'd assume Sparrow, simply because Jordon is a tackling machine.

I like bringing both Petty and Hibberd. I was worried that bringing in Petty which sounds deserved defensively does not balance the amount of attack from the back half we get from Maysie as well. Whilst Jetta has not been bad he has just been hanging on and Hibbo coming in reinforces the we need to look at ways to continually get better. Brown for Fritta is like for like but I would based on last week and him not playing the Fritta role push Melksham back to medisub.

Coincidently just ran past Goschs and only Big Benny Brown was on the track having set shots from outside 50 in a #79 disco Casey jumper.

I was at that infamous match.

Even if we had won, we would have been thrashed by Carlton in the GF the following week.

I would love to be able to get one binman. I am in1b but my clinic tells me not to get excited before June/ July. My best hope is that a lot of people get scared off. I would have two if I thought it would prevent MFCSS!

you are not alone, od. my 98yo mil in nursing home is 1a and has no idea when she will get it. same for rest of nursing home.

i'm 1b. at least my gp has me on wait list but no idea when he will get supply

fortunately there's no covid out and about (yet)......

A bit of a prediction..... Angus Brayshaw who is finding form and fitness after an interrupted preseason to be BOG in a sterling performance that reminds everyone why he went at pick 3 in the draft.

I have heaps of support for Angus Brayshaw - on song, he is a terrific footballer, capable of really effective excusions into the forward line and finding (almost the only one onfield for us in recent years) that space to do that damage to an opposition.

Highly rated but a midfielder he will always be - Clarry and Viney need  to realise he has always been the source of our outside run and/or carry solution that we have looked tirelessly for through the draft. One day, the penny will drop.

That means he's fair dinkum, then. Outside 50s rehearsals, like the sound of that effort. Onyer, Benny!

We so far seem to lack the killer instinct. A little mongrel, like Vegemite, goes a long way.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
