Daily summary ~

Matt Rendell says the Bombers need to pay up for Josh Dunkley. “When you're chasing a bloke that has two years left on their contract, then cough up. Don't stuff around! Cough up"

"Ben Brown has chosen Melbourne. The Dees have met with him, done a medical, and he will request the trade" - Sam Edmund

Jesse Hogan has officially requested a trade to the Giants. The Dockers will clear him.

Geelong a little surprised the Giants matched the Jeremy Cameron offer.

The Treloar saga continues. Nathan Buckley responded to Sam Edmund's report that the coach informed Adam Treloar senior players don't want him to return to the club.

St Kilda say they won't be trading their first-round pick in any potential trade for Brad Crouch.

It’s a public holiday and things have been a little quiet today but there’s a lot happening in the background.

Essendon and Carlton remain in a stalemate over Adam Saad on the eve of the 2020 trade period.

Matt Rendell believes Collingwood is exploring the possibility of bringing in Tom McDonald from Melbourne.

Speculation that St Kilda might be calling Adelaide’s bluff (the Crows have yet to match the Saints’ bid).

The action should heat up a little bit when the trade period starts tomorrow at 9.00am.

Speaking from Washington DC, President Donald J Trump has announced that unless North Melbourne completes the trade of Benjamin Brown to Melbourne by the time the ballots close in the western states, he will file a case in the Supreme Court of the USA to have the entire trade period declared null and void.

Fake News. Trump would have either called North the Do-Nothing North Melbourne or the Krazy Kangaroos.

This guy is unbelievable in his arrogance.

I don’t mind this as the first step in negotiation but his problem is he usually sticks to this and doesn’t end up getting a deal done.

Not bad for a bloke that has played about half a dozen mediocre games in 2 years

Ahahahaha!

He asks for proven players and first rounders. He asked for Butters!
Imagine approaching a trade and saying we'll take that contracted 19 year old All Australian and give you an uncontracted 25 year old who's missed the better part of two years with injury and publicly wants out again.

Dodoro is proper mental.

They must be poorly paid at the bulldogs if that is a substantial increase on his current contract as has been reported.

Edit:  Browne's info suspect again!  Sam Edmond seems to have a better grapevine:  “The reason he is considering leaving - he’s been sold the massive midfield dream. The lure of that, plus a big contract that conservatively speaking is worth $700,000 a season and playing with his brother Kyle is unbelievable".  From Fox news.

Think it was Cal discussing the demons briefly just now on trade radio, largely about acquisition of brown and and how we plan to shape our forward line with the three talls. At the end of the discussion he mentioned that he expects us to haggle a little bit over Preuss to GWS and that because he's contracted we wouldn't be throwing him away for late picks. Suggested it could be pick 30, 43 or involving the pick they'll acquire from Hately.

Collingwood list manager just said on trade radio that discussions surrounding Tom Phillips have been around his role at the club. No mention that he’s on the trade table.

As I said in the Tom Phillips thread, my source has advised he isn’t going anywhere.

I listened to the post interview discussion and fan call in which centred mainly on Stephenson.

He didn’t disclose anything new regarding Treloar other than it’ll be difficult to bring players in unless he is moved out.

Doesn’t sound like they are interested in TMac.

No mention of Tom Phillips

There was a reference to the first round pick being on the table. Didn’t catch whether this years or next.

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention.
