23 year old victorian kid taken at pick 20 in the 2015 draft, plays predominantly as an outside midfielder at the Suns with good disposal by foot. Has played 52 games and had a breakout year where he played 21 games and averaged 25 touches a game and came 5th in the Suns bnf (not saying much I know). Is now out of contract and seemingly out of favour this year. Could be potential red flags there but worth the thought I reckon. Could come cheap in terms of trade price and may compliment Langdon on the other wing as an outside accumulator, also a lefty.

He signed with the Suns through to the end of 2023.  Had an excellent 2019.  I’m not sure why he would be out of the Suns line up. I think Anderson may have taken his wing role. When I’ve seen him play, he has had good run and skills and good composure.  I’d be willing to talk if the Suns were putting him up.

Ah ok, seems footywire's contract status cannot be trusted then.

Seemingly had a great 2019, so what's gone wrong this year?  Too soft?  Not defensive enough?  Doesn't work hard enough?  Something has gone awry for him this season and I'd love to know what it is.

Suns weren't anywhere near as good last year as this year,  they've added Greenwood, Anderson, Rowell and Ainsworth has stepped up in a massive way.  Fiorini has moved down the pecking order.

He was great in 2019, probably the Suns most consistent midfielder. Would gladly take him and add him to our midfield rotation. He’s a different type of player to the one paced inside brigade we have. He’s not pure outside, wins his own ball and used it well be foot.

What would he cost us in a trade?

If hes not getting a game for a bottom 4 side he couldn't cost mote than a 3rd rounder you'd think. Never seem him play though.

Good from afar but a far from good.

Accumulates but lacks damage. Doesn't love the contest. Doesn't love defensive running. Isn't quick enough to break lines. Is a good kick but not a great kick who opens up play and creates goals.

The suns probably paid him plenty to sign on for 4 years as well given they couldn't keep losing players. We'd probably have to get a decent chunk of his cash paid to make a deal work.

Had offseason groin surgery so he's a better player than he showed this year but whether he's good enough to go and chase I'm  not sure.

Could play on a wing! He carried the Suns midfield workload when most were injured a year or two ago. I see him as a similar player to Higgins (Nth). In saying that, I think he will end up at North!

Needs a refresh and would definitely ask the question if the ‘Price is Right’!

That video really sold me....on how good Alex Sexton is.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
