I listen to the Premier of Queensland banging on about social distancing, good hand hygiene, perhaps wearing a mask every day. Don't they?

Can't see any of these things happening in a strip club for goodness sake. I hope they washed their hands before they ate the kebabs.?

Must be an essential service

My 70 year old mother had to get a special letter of exemption from the Queensland department of Health (which took her months) just to be able to visit my brother, who is dying of liver and bowel cancer in Brisbane. Then she had to do 2 weeks of quarantine by herself, where she got fresh air exactly twice in those 2 weeks (including doing a 9 day streak with no outside air at all).

I’m not allowed to travel to Queensland and may never see my brother again.

The Queensland government and the AFL needs to explain to me, my family, and the literally thousands of other people with heart breaking stories like mine why they are getting such a sweet deal - when they continue to prove they can’t even live by the most basic, community minded rules.

It makes me sick.

Get the burn cream : RoCo just roasted old Tom Browne-Nose ?

With all this talk of swimming pools and [censored]-bars, Jack Watts must be kicking himself right now for missing out on hub-life on the Gold Coast.

Christ, imagine if it was Nibbler and Spargo or similar. They'd be burned in a Wicker Man as half time entertainment at the GF.

Being Richmond players we can see the media/spin brooms out in full force, with Gil gleefully holding the rug up.

Nibbler basically copped the same ban (4 weeks) for a bit of bad luck in a tackle.

Sorry to hear that.   It truly is sickening what this country has become.

Can't wait for Caro (acronym for Caroline Wilson) comments vigorously defending her Tiger boys.

Oh I don't know what fuss is. They weren't playing the next day, and they're just boys releasing some built-up seed

So very sorry to hear about your brother.

Absolutely disgusting, I'm extremely sorry to hear this. I just hope you do get the chance to see him.

And this lady is running their State........?

Not strictly correct!  She's only the Premier.  This State is run by a far more high-powered individual who bears the auspicious title (and the FAT pay packet to go with it) of "Chief Health Officer"

What an absolute Joke. The Whole Club should burn for this

Am I the only one low key hoping this goes much deeper then just the 2 of them on this one occasion to the point that the club gets kicked out of season 2020?

Thanks for the kind words all ?

I don’t take the jokes as anything but making fun of the ridiculous world we’re currently living in (some of them were hilarious).

Im just super annoyed that both the Queensland government and the AFL will excuse this all away - while paying lip service to the community. They should both fine Richmond $500k and donate the money to pay nursing staff in Victoria for the hell they’ve had to endure these last few months.

As for my brother, he’s a Melbourne supporter, so he’s always joking that he already knows about pain and suffering ??‍♂️?

It's what happens when the club leaves the adults at home...and the kids in charge.

Dimwit...a poor impersonation of someone in charge.

VERDICT: $100,000 fine and 10 Game Ban for both players.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
