Hibberd getting taught an absolute lesson.

Time to blood Rivers. He's the future.

Any chance they make a move on Wallis? [censored] me this coach just won’t move on his Essendon buddies will he?

He has been spot on today with his comments

You are deeluded

he called out fancy actions when we were just unlucky the ball bounced the wrong way when we had two players tracking and then bont could toe poke it to a teammate.

yeah Hibberd.  Keep standing 3 metres off him, it's really working

Oliver back to his old tricks. Not running with the ball out of stoppages. Flicking it straight to the opposition

Nope..

Melksham is another fraud like Goodwin.

So is Wallis this week's recipient of the Kent Kingsley Award For Spuds That Play Well Against Melbourne?

Yeah look we've been 2nd rate today, dogs came to play, we had no answers. Even early it felt like some of our goals were fortunate.

Story of the last 6 decades

There just isn't enough run and class on the outside in this team and the forward line is still a shambles.

The coach has no answers when the opp starts getting a run on either out of the middle (refuses to tag) or off HB (pushing most forwards higher up the field and leaving one or two closer to goal)

Willy Wonka with 4.....far out

Did post during the week that Wallis is often their most dangerous forward. Plays in front, marks on the chest and kicks accurately

The bounce has not been kind to us today.

What game are you watching?

funny how the wind only affects us

Same bad horrible mistakes that airways happen when we are off

- to many blokes flying for the same ball

- short handballs to a teammate 1 metre away under pressure.

- to many guys attacking the opposition with the ball while legacy guys on the outside.

Multiple inside 50s with no score while opposition score at about 85% plus .

Fritsch missing goals in New and inventive ways.

What else have I missed?

Wallis has had a very good season of recent times.

Shows bad oppo prep by you know who

Bulldogs players consistently a metre over the mark applying pressure.  How can't the umpires see this?

Haha. They are cheating scum

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
