That’s what happens when you complain and the chef finds out. Very harsh response imo.

Wise choice

On the ABC last night Gladys said no return to lock-down in NSW - they have to learn to live with case spikes.  Definitely time for MFC and the AFL to get out of Dodge City.  Likely that Queensland (if they close the NSW border), SA, WA, NT and Tas will be the only available hub venues for the second half of the season.  Expect MFC to be on the road for a long period.

Looks like all Victorian teams are moving to Qld for the remainder of the season.

Everyone out of NSW soon, maybe last game on Sunday...but maybe not?

Love of r the dee's to come to WA for their base, that way I can go see them love every week for the first time in a long time.  Though I expect we'll being Queensland with the majority of teams.

Seeing them play would be enough for me.

I can just see us having to leave NSW before Sunday and our match against the Hawks postponed. That would be so 2020 for us.

I wouldn't be surprised if we win our next 8 in a row, come in to flag favourites, then the season gets cancelled.  That's about all that's left to happen for our 2020!

My nightmare is winning a flag and not being there to see it. Don't get me wrong I'll take it but it truly would kill me in a first world problem kind of way.

I've sort of been there, done that. I was at the 1964 Grand Final but was too young to remember any of it.

I was there in 1988 and 2000. Still trying to forget it!!  Had quite a few beers before, during and after but the nightmare lives on!!!!

Long way to go before a GF. The spike can slip through the net as we have seen in NSW.

My parents weren't into footy in a big way back when we were winning premierships in the early 60's, so I could only listen on the radio (no live TV coverage).  I'm yet to SEE us win a GF.

I’d recommend the Meriton Suites At Broadbeach.  It’s excellent apartment style accomodation.  Not the hotel one room setup.

It’s only 5-10 minutes Bus trip to Metricon stadium. Good local shops and cafes. Woolies within 5 minutes walk.  Close to the beach.  Pacific Harbour shops close.

Definitely not stay in Surfers. Too much trouble there.

The only issue is proximity to the casino. Don’t want to tempt young blokes with $$$

RACV Royal Pines Resort is other option. It’s big and players can keep busy with 18 holes of golf on any of the courses.  But it’s away from anything else. Perhaps that suits if you have to do the Q-tine thing

We've really been f'ed around the most so far. Games cancelled, moved to NSW and then to Qld.

Hopefully we can still win enough games to make finals and then who knows what will happen given the only teams that will play home finals will likely be Qld, SA and WA based teams.

Grand Final at the Gabba.
45000 puzzled spectators !!!

C'mon ref that has to be a knock on!

THEY'VE BEING DOING IT ALL GAME!!!!

Looks like games in the NT remain a possibility. Hopefully they can fly one of the Adelaide teams over. It just won’t feel like a Darwin home game without everyone cheering for the opposition.

I’m thinking we play the finals in Auckland.  It might be the only safe haven come late October.

Geelong would love that....

GMHBA - 170 x 115

Eden Park - 137 x 110

The team flies out on Monday to the Qld hub.

A couple of comments I heard at a recent Lions V Dees GABBA game:

"Geez I hope the Lions get a few tries tonight!!!

"How many points do they get for hitting the uprights"

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
