I understand but i think it’s ridiculous.

The players aren’t even allowed to take their kids to the park.

It’s not ridiculous: it is sensible and necessary. What do you want the whole competition closed down again? Because that is what you will get if we have another outbreak.

We are not dealing with the flu or a cold here: we are dealing with an incredibly infectious deadly epidemic for which there is no cure and currently no vaccine. We are all vulnerable, and l for one am immensely grateful that our state and federal governments are following the science and the medical advice and taking the cautious approach. Obviously we have some Trump disciples in our supporter base. Fortunately sanity prevails....

Well NRL fans should have one more game of kissing and hugging that they do before all their tests come up positive and that will be the finish of their season.

At least our blokes aren't the vice captain of their Club and they also have friends to visit.

Can a rugby player contract the virus by urinating in their own mouth?

This game was already hard to call with 3 young kids selected to play and Harley and Joel Smith not having played for a long time. This stupidity has just made it so much harder.

Gotta hand it to Spargo.

Puts in a round 1 performance at a level not seen since Isaac Weetra circa 2008.

Then coerced our premier albeit young small forward into attending a house party via an Uber during pandemic -  hence robbing us a key piece of the puzzle in somehow jagging our first win in 11 months.

I don’t think we’ll be seeing young Charles for a number of weeks.

YEP Average player at best.

Weeks? You won't see him again for the MFC.

They are paid a huge salary that we contribute to so follow the simple f k n rules that have been put in place for you to continue to work.

The worst part is when we lose, by a goal when ANB misses a set shot after the siren everyone will blame Kossi.

No only a small majority of miserable whiners on this board, who actually call themselves supporters, could possibly contemplate doing that

Gee the infallibility quotient on this board is amazing

Not one person [censored] up in their late teens early twenties

Don't watch the game, another problem solved

Me, disappointed in both players, they have worn the consequences, new soldier into the team to play a team game

How many breaches of AFL protocol were displayed when Selwood kicked that goal in 3rd Qtr? I wonder if Kozzie and Charlie cuddled their friends during their indiscretion.

Many people throwing barbs when I dare say most would have been the first to whinge about being in isolation

Throwing barbs? Here are the rules for you to get paid and play the game... don’t mess up... 3 weeks later let’s get in an Uber and go to a party.... pppffttt

Young people will be young people, still not an excuse.

The biggest losers from this are us, the supporters and tv viewers.   A shame as not much has been great these past few months at home...

Chin up. The game will still be on and I hope you can find a lot of enjoyment from Jackson, Bennell, Rivers, Jones on the HFF and King Nev. Good luck on the home front. Everything will keep improving.

Actually, bizarre error of judgement. They must have know what they were doing, and the consequences. Why would you?

Nibbler seemingly could not get a 'grip' last season. But has shown some positive signs earlier in the pre-season. Statistically not the worst performer in round 1 against the Eagles in Perth. In fact recall him kicking a smart snap goal from a crowded pack. At his best a solid team contributor at the coalface.

Yes. 16 Crows players on a golf course. The punchline to the joke was no penalty. AFL makes up the rules on the run and flip flops.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
