Hibberd can't hold a mark. Butter fingers tonight.

I reckon the ground and ball are slippery

Hibbo is still finished.

Lockhart has been our best player.

Uses the ball extremely well.

We’ve lost the plot the last few minutes

Rather lose it now than in two weeks time.

Lockhart looking good for round one

Hibberd looks a shadow of his 2017/18 self.

Nice goal from Jack!

Other than being a former All Australian.. what exactly does Hibberd contribute to the team?

If the round one choice is between him and Lockhart, the choice is pretty clear.

Tomlinson kick was a shocker, but it wouldn't have had to happen had ANB not fluffed a simple kick in the first place.

I’d say Salem in Hibbo out.
We miss Salem’s kicking.

experience

i think they'll both play; very different roles

May just kicking off the rust.

Neal-Bullen continues to be a chain killer.  Every period of good clean possession ends when he gets it.

It's either a fumble or a ridiculous attempt at a handball.

arguably best on ground

I honestly don't know what to make of that first half.

We've done some good stuff... but have been terrible frustrating at the same time.

Our usage forward of centre continues to be a problem, as do our skills (although the dew doesn't help), but then I feel as though we look terrific defensively and when it all 'clicks'  I can see us putting multiple goals together in quick succession.

I feel more positive than negative but we'll need to improve to have a shot at the Eagles in Round 1 at this stage.

Neither team could hit the water if they fell out of a boat tonight

Hibberd another shocker he's close to being out of my side. Tomlinson, Langdon and Petracca playing well.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
