I was surprised he didn't go at the same time as Garlett and Keilty.

Showed a few good things in last few games despite a truncated season due to injury. Worth another go around. 

He has been around 6 years and is still not in the best 30 players on the list. I don't know why we are giving him false hope by not officially delisting him a month ago.

Possibly one of JFK or Stretch survives, but certainly not both.

He shows a few glimpses in games but ultimately probably not good enough if you're still asking questions of him 6 years later.

Maybe they used him as trade bait, where as they knew Garlett would be no chance of garnering interest??

Maybe.   But if he couldn't get a regular gig with us, I don't know who would want him.

In all honesty we'd be better off pulling a random name out of the draft pool. Same with Stretch.

JKH has matured a lot the last 2 years imo. I see him eventually molding into a Jetta type player. Very similar imo. JKH was also far less deer-in-headlights this year whenever he got the ball. Has developed his composure in that sense. Maybe it's just me but I see potential in him, much more than I do Stretch. JKH is only 24, let's not forget that.

I much rather keep him over Stretch.

Watched him many times at close quarters at Casey. An infectious and enthusiastic young man who is obviously great to have around the club.

He racks up big possession numbers at Casey in their midfield but like many at Casey he has not been tried in various specialist positions such as forward or as a lock down back etc. Much the same goes for Stretch. Makes me wonder about the development/experimental path at Casey.

After Maynard's departure the only back up mids at Casey are JKH and Stretch. If the two first round draft picks are used to pick up mids then I think they are both gone. If as suggested we use one pick on a forward perhaps one of them stays. TBH both need to go to other clubs for better opportunities but it seems that time has passed them by.

It was annoying at times watching him work hard to make space and provide an option only to see some team mates ignoring him and just bombing away to no one in particular. Happened a lot.

I feel for JKH and always had a soft spot for him. Only being 173cm with no pace or amazing side step he's always going to be well down any pecking order but he worked extremely hard and had ambition with ball in hand. Pity his goal kicking at senior level went to [censored] the last couple of seasons cause that could have saved him

I have watched him a bit at Casey too DJ. And while he gets a lot possessions he does hurt the other team all that much. I think the same about stretch. Neither seem to have weapon. Get a lot of possessions but don't do a lot with them.

Agree... but seemed to little attempt to build their skills by encouraging an open game plan for example.

I enjoy the Casey games for a day out but not many players have come out of that team.

Anyone that thinks we should keep JKH needs to stop taking non prescription drugs- after all these years he can’t break into the team, on a consistent basis, and when he does he either turns the ball over or gets rag dolled by the opposition. Absolute list clogger

A large percentage of The time I enjoy them more than senior games especially this year.

It is just easier to go and watch compared to going to the G when we play the hordes of tigers and Pies at their home games.

I know for a fact that he and Jesse Hogan were great mates and JKH would always look for him on the field

I think it's clear the footy department rate him higher than the general supporter base, and I wonder if they feel he hasn't really had a run to show what he can do the last two years?

Like ANB he has a good engine, covers a lot of ground and goes all day: he has mainly played in the wing role at AFL level, but is unlikely he'll do that again for Melbourne.

I've always felt that he doesn't do a lot wrong, but he just doesn't really damage with ball in hand. 

With 3 lost spots and picks 3, 8, 97 and 115, I'm not sure that I'd delist either JKH or Stretch just so I can use pick 115, but I think Stretch goes first. 

Sorry but he’s had plenty of time and I would be surprised given that he’s out of contract if he wasn’t hawked around for a trade. On that basis, I think either he and/or Billy Stretch will be lucky to be on the list at the end of the month.

Phew, was worried for a second we'd continue to keep this list clogger for another year. I wish him well with a very brave second club, but am happy we're finally making some good, long overdue decisions.
