Rubbish game. Scoreboard flattered us as we kicked some junktime goals after not giving a yelp for 2.5 quarters. May injured again. Lever destroyed by Mihochek, he’s no good one on one unfortunately. Those two big trades have set us back big time.

Looks like another rebuild looms. We need to hit the top end of the draft hard again to get more young talent in.

On the bright side, congratulations on OMac for joining the exclusive 589th kick, first goal club.

One would have thought that the guy would have done more up fwd given his season.

Not a defender and not a forward.

Perhaps hes holding out for some time on the ball.

Hunt, Viney Jones OMac JKH are done.

Dunkleys decision making is looking a bust to.

Bit harsh on Dunkley only came to the club half way through the season, agree Jones, JHK and Salem who are a bit soft under pressure the other one is an anchor is Viney.

May was great until injured and that’s prob the only good player we had. Maybe throw Frost and Fritta in the good players too.

Frost was seriously horrible, couldn't get within 5 metres of his opponent today, he got lucky Elliott couldn't kick straight. Fritra, may and tracc our best by a long way

Fritter BOG for us.

Trac went missing a little, but did some nice things.

Maxxy looked flat (I don't blame him)

Pies are depleted, but they're not much chop. If you only beat us by 17 points, are you even trying?

God this season has felt long. Two more games to go...

I like him and he at least gives us something to look forward to in 2020. ....but when you kick 1.4 it’s a frikn disgrace. No way bog

OMac's goal reminded me of the Under 10s when the coach makes sure everyone gets a turn.

Participation ribbons for everyone.

That’s really harsh. I know hating on Omac is flavour of the month but he honestly played well today. Was aggressive at the ball, and hit targets. Considering he’s never played forward or ruck, he did well. Needs a break. He’s hardly the core of our issues.

Watch Goodwin talk about how good it was us responding in the 4th and how it’s a step in the right direction

We are hopeless how we only lost by 3 goals is an indictment on the Pies. Petracca and Fritsch the only good players the rest are spuds. A long 2 weeks coming up.

My thoughts

we played terrible, passing  forward lousy,

pies are not much chop  even early they played poorly.  But we were worse !

umpiring was deplorable think both sides would have thought that   OMac played better up forward and even in the ruck better than he had down back.  He does like to crunch his opponents.

Very glad there are only two weeks left.

But it I do not think we gave up at any time much better than last week !

Yeah, I know what you mean, but he also delivered well and contributed to a couple of other goals. If there was someone else who kicked straight, I'd have said they were BOG, but there wasn't. He's generally a decent kick for goal, off day. If May played the game out, he would likely have received the 'honour'.

Can anyone explain how Goodwin has the time (or desire) to sit there and eat - instead of actively coaching - with less than 5 minutes to go in a game that we were still a chance (albeit very slim) to win?

I agree. I'm no OMac fan (I'm usually in favour of him playing for the 2s), but I thought he was ok at times. At least looked like he wanted to be out there, and played with intent.

If someone could invent a brain implant which makes you oblivious to footy until your team starts playing finals footy, I’d be the first to buy.

Jones needs to retire and have a farewell game in the last round.

He has given his all but his time is up imo.

He should've signed the offer that was put in front of him.

A new offer needs to be drawn up, and it's a lot lower.

Start the campaign for a priority pick. One finals series in 13 years and we look a long way off

Agree, or first access to state leagues ect

At seasons end, I hope the players with few exceptions get a swift kick in the Annus horribillis.

We are completely lost.

In all areas of the ground.

It's truly woeful.

I agree. But yet, it does surprise me that we haven’t been seriously thrashed on the scoreboard. Something is still there. Some heart beat.... but it’s v faint.

Plays unaccountable footy, 1 tackle in 2 matches is unacceptable.

I have watched him at a few matches and all he does is peel off his wingman (ie Sidebottom) to hang off the back of packs trying to get cheap kicks.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
