Have to agree. How come they can take the ball the full length of the ground by kicking it to each other, when we suffer a concentration lapse after one short kick.

Goody seems to have shown a bias towards a "play on and kick down the line" method IMO Dimmy.

Thats ok if you have regular marking beasts that can take advantage and/or you are usually winning the clearance from related stoppages.

At this point we arent doing the former much at all and the latter is only about even vs the opp.

The outlet kick to a pocket is 'usually' a much better option.  Even if you can't link up you are at least an extra 20 meters further away from the opp's goals down the line.

Frost had to punch that to thr boundary

Hard to believe Richmond let Lloyd go. He’s been one of their best.

2 goal turnround from Petracca once again missing an absolute sitter of a set shot.

Bloke will never be any more than a "B" grader.

Trade.

ANB so often gets into the right place but rarely finishes off hard work.

Gawn pushed in the back..........play on. Joke of a game.

We wont win this ... You can see the Dogs being all over it.

We are too busy complaining to the umpires to actually make a contest.

Go back to when a number 2 draft pick fluffed up a simple kick for goal. Game over.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
