Yep, it's what has me quietly confident for the second half. They lifted in that last ten minutes, so hopefully that has given them confidence. I agree with others that we have been well beaten in some areas tonight, but the fact we are still in it is a real positive. Our forward line has looked much more open which has allowed us to kick more goals and have those opportunities. If the three you mentioned above continue to lift then we can get more of those chances in the second half. 1

Wagners will never be any good. OMac just horrible. Your last two statements i agree with. I haven't given up on Hibb's yet though.

Earl Hood 6,167 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 U pairing is [censored]. Boundaries can’t throw the ball in. Field umpires always looking for a soft over the shoulder to the Swans and if we get a free they bring it back everytime allowing the Swans to manup. Front on contact to our forwards doesn’t exist. Anyway we are still in it. Petracca stand up mate!

Sure, but the forward line isn't really the problem, it's up the other end of the ground where we've been leaking goals all season. Even against Essendon we managed 18 goals - which, incidentally was the 3rd highest score in the whole round.
Moonshadow 17,678 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Long bombs i50 not hurting us as much. A few are thankfully looking shorter
Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Heeney is winning centre clearances from the wing!
darkhorse72 1,943 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Good start... first goal of 3rd unlike last week
DaveyJones'sLocker 647 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Finally paid front on contact only took them theee games to give us one 1 1
Gunna’s 2,107 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Did the umpires read demonland during the break? A free 15 out from OUR goal ?
Demonland 74,429 Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 About time we got a free in front of goal. Feels like it's been 15 years. 2
Moonshadow 17,678 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Front contact now but not in 1st quarter? Umpires are straight out idiots 1
Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Finally the umpires get one right.
layzie 34,528 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 The right start, now need to win some contested footy.
Graeme Yeats' Mullet 6,791 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Had to have the downfield umpire pay that!! Almost didn't get paid 2
Demonland 74,429 Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 I'd love to get a possession out of the middle. 3

Jaded No More 68,976 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 We simply can’t let the ball into our defensive 50 because it’s a certain goal.
