All clubs would be interested in a premier forward I think but Jesse will only go interstate to WA. Don't rule out West Coast either

No chance he is going to the Eagles 

I can't say I'm that fussed. If he goes we will do well out of it. If he stays we will do well out of it. I have (for the first time in a very long time) faith in the people running the club.

I agree and they have put it out there they don’t want the will he won’t be circus next year. I personally think a pick around 9-10 for may would be a good outcome

If freo trade neele for brisbane brisbanes first pick, they should give us that one and their first pick. The club should say take it or leave it... play hardball... or shop him elsewhere.

I agree with your sentiment about talent managers, however it really is a strong field this year. It's been projected from a long way out, as far as 2016. Last season the 17 year old players were the ones dominating the U18 carnival. The likes of Rankine, Lukosius, Smith, Walsh, the King brothers...the list goes on.

As we appear to be going round in circles, I’d like to ask a more pressing question.

At what point in time would it be tactful to delete Jesse from our DL banner and who do we replace him with? Not sure when, but my vote would be Gus.

Not true. Gaff and Lycett are moving on so they have heaps of cap space. West coast expressed interest in him last time rumours were around, even with Darling and Kennedy on their books. With Kennedy 32 next year and injury prone, they need another forward and I'm sure they would love to have the 3 of them running around next season

Absolutely right. Nothing like a bit of competition to ratchet up the urgency in the sales process.

I reckon GCS might enjoy a trade of May + players or May + picks for Hogan. And good surf up there in SE Qld.

Possibly.

Doesnt change the fact they dont have the trade $$$. Picks 20 and 36 at the moment.

Anywhere from a personal point of view theres just been too much noise on Hogan come this time of the year ever year. When theres smoke there's fire and i think his time is up with us.

As much as i can't stand him, i look at someone like Alex Neale Bullen who's from SA, who shows passion and is heavily invested in this club by taking up a leadership role up forward. Bleeds and loves the footy club.

I have never once had that feeling with Hogan.

To be fair, Hogan has never had a real clean run at it. Injury, tragedy, followed by further injury and more tragedy. 

Also I think people are trying to make too much of the argument that he wasn’t ‘invested’ enough in the club purely because his body language isn’t sufficiently positive for them. He’s an individual and a very talented one at that. 

For a bloke who was whisked 3500 kms away from his family and mates when only 17 years old to a basket case of football club and managed to eek out a career that has so far yielded a rising star award, multiple 40+ goals seasons amongst huge challenges, I think it’s a massive credit to him. 

I understand this method of coming to terms with his departure is some type of coping mechanism for many on here but let’s not forget everything he’s been through and still managed to achieve for our club.

I'm somewhere between you and Dazzle. I accept that it takes all types and Jesse is the polar opposite of a Petracca. He's an introvert, rather than extrovert, but I also align with the 'feeling' that many seem to be expressing here.

Yeah, it may seem like the easy thing to say now that he's going, but it is something many of us have either felt before or expressed on Demonland in one form or another over the journey.

I don't wish Jesse any ill will, but I don't want any other team compromising my club's potential success. Where that sits, I don't know, but as long as we improve our list, it's potentially a win-win for all involved.

Yeah Nah.  This from the club that was emphatically not going to trade GAJ and hold him to his contract.  It's a millstone around their neck carrying a player they know won't be there the following season.  It's a distraction they need to do without.  Their tough talk is just that, they will get a good pick for May and they'll do it this year.  We're in the box seat compared to the likes of Collingwood and Hawthorn who don't look likely to be able to gazump us - providing May wants to play for the Dees.

Sad about this and I recognize he will be a big loss.

He is a proven forward. The Weed has put in some decent cameos but he isn't on Jesse's level (yet).

However, we need to play the hand we have been dealt rather than the one we would like. If he wants out, then we get what we can for him.
