Farewell Jesse Hogan

To me it looks like we're ready to accept unders so we can do a trade for May. It needs to be made clear to Freo that if May is taken away from us by another club, the unders will no longer be available, and they'll need to produce more than what's been discussed. We'll be in a position where we need to start looking for a next option after May, and that will probably cost us more, caused by them, so their cost.

Stupidity confirmation.

The only time TMac might be in the back 50 is in the last 2 minutes of quarters when we're  trying to stop opposition scoring.

Or if we are playing in a prelim final against the Eagles. You , unfortunately have a very short memory span.

Yep! I just woke up!

The ball isn’t in Freo’s or little man Peter Bells court! I don’t care what Freo value because it stinks and the rest of the competition agree...

Pick 5 is the foundation to move forward...  If not Jesse stays! I would be asking for Langdon and if I were the Dees I would be in his ear to leave. His brother doesn’t even want to go there! Or Tim Kelly. Freo are on the nose...

Freo want Pick 5 and more from Brisbane... But want too give nothing for Jesse. Please...! Freo need to get off the grass.

The Dees are the seller and have control. If the Dockers don’t want to buy at the asking price we’ll so be it.

Sounds as though you would touch your toes for Pick 11 & 23...!

I never said we should do that deal, i just said that 5 + Ed Langdon is a fairytale right now.  We might dig in and pull off 5+23 if Freo cave, but the mental health rumours suggest otherwise. Getting Langdon instead of 23 seems fanciful imo

Yes total outlier situation when we were bleeding goals. Akin to the last 2 minutes of quarters.  It's pulling the emergency cord.

The context of the question was using Hogan as starting CHB next year.

Are you seriously suggesting that we'll ever start TMac as key back in the future?  It's over - he's a key forward.

No I’m not but there will be multiple situations where Tom will be used down back other than the last 2 minutes of a 1/4. The coach clearly recognises he is still our best defender and uses him so. I would have a long chat to Goody to find out what his vision is  for Tom before he is consigned as a permanent forward. He might have expectations that he can use Tom as his go to man a la Croswell.

I'd rather Frost defending than Tom and that's saying something.

I am aware of a massive offer from NM to Oliver (who has some vague connection to them) that Oliver refused. This one never made the media.

Nice story 'GNF'.

Up there with Little Red Riding Hood & a few other tall tales.

Make it plausible by using North, they're throwing cash around like confetti. Problem is their offers are for free agents and out of contract players. Oliver is neither.

Olivers vague connection to North is that they are an AFL team & he is an AFL player.

It didn't make the media because it didn't happen.

I have no doubt when Oliver's next contract is due he will get some very large to massive offers and we will need to take good care of him.

Failmantle have some very strange ideas on sharing the money love. They signed Bennell on a 3 year $650k pa contract and kept Lachie Neale on $450k pa. There is every chance that Bennell will be gone soon (or at the very least get a new low $ contract) and if LN goes as well, that is a lot of money in the kitty. As well as any retirements, delistings and current underspend.

So you are right. Lots of salary cap space in the land of purple muppets.

The fact they resigned Ballantyne says plenty about these people from planet purple.

I'm with Lobby Lloyd with this one

Actually, I'd heard that one too.

Who is we. Do you mean we as a club or you and me.

If the latter, where did I give you permission to make up stuff about what I am thinking.

Anyway who are you?

If I had to choose between the posts of you and GNF, I know which I would believe and I am sorry but it wouldn't be yours.

Sucked right in.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
