Neville Jetta is an absolute legend ❤️?

Neville Jetta wins the Jim Stynes community award!

Incredible achievement and shows what an incredible individual Nev has become.

We're so lucky to have him. Big hearted lad.

This is why nobody takes umpires seriously.  They are dumb as [censored].

Max Gawn 6 votes after 10 rounds. Hell, Brodie Grundy only has 4 votes yet sidearse has 13.

We all know that the Brownlow is a midfielders award, but tonight with the above votes only further establishes how little a clue these muppets have when it comes to the best players on the ground.

ANB with the three votes against the Crows in Alice...

Angus with two while Hogan (five goals) with zilch.

Voting a tad peculiar this year.

This is pretty much why the Brownlow is now a joke award, coaches award is a much better indication

All Nev could say was to thank other people for being flexible enough to let him help, to the values from his parents and for his wife and kids for letting him contribute his time.  Really shows the total humility of the guy.

An outstanding player. An even more outstanding human being. What a star!

All the talk about beards is so riveting.

Get the [censored] out.

How the [censored] did Gawn not get votes for the Carlton game? 44 hit outs, 4 clearances, 8 score involvements, 2 goals. 0 votes.

Done with this stupid award.

Melb v Ess

Hogan 1 vote with: 2 goals, 5 kicks, 3 hand balls, 5marks, 2 tackles

Gawn no votes: 2 goals, 8 kicks, 8 handballs, 5 marks, 5 tackles, 42 hit outs

WTF!!!

We have too many vote stealers. In consecutive weeks, Harmes, Melksham and ANB were best on.

I'm off to bed. Dragging on (as usual) and no demon is going close.

Balic stiff not to cop a mention in the retirees

It was sure a rubbish group of retirees apart from Vince and Rioli.

How’s Ty Vickery getting a mention.

Apart from Nev, the other bit of note was a tape of Max receiving his jumper from Jim Stynes. A great speech by Jim, who was obviously quite unwell. Very emotional viewing and his daughter Matisse is very impressive

Clayton Oliver has 3 votes after 11 rounds..

The umpires are 100% brain dead.

Always makes me laugh, people complaining about the votes being flawed, as I said weeks ago, there is a reason why I believe the coaches award to be the best.

Seriously, coaches voting for best on or umpires?

I haven’t watched the Brownlow for years and really don’t care about it.

He is amazing. Simple

Thought Oliver did?

Think the compare said Melb v Ess when he read out the votes but it was actually Melb v Saints?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
