Stratton done a hammy

More injuries please!

Thank god we don’t need to meet the Tigers until the grand final ?

Great to watch

Nah I wanted them to win. I just wanted the finals to have a bit of a shakeup. Plus the more I watch Richmond the more I think Rance is a tool.

By the way watching McEvoy ruck, does he actually tap it to anyone or just hit it into space. A few times tonight he has just hit it to no one.

Gee Mitchell is average.  He really is an accumulator not a match winner.  Will be quite disappointed if he wins the Brownlow

I really didn’t see him as a factor in this finals series.

Practically, what does a team do to ‘deal with’ Richmond’s, constant knocking on, spiking (a la volleyball) etc at all costs? Do we incorporate it into our game style - personally I think it’s intuitive and works well in our game.

Prancer crying in agony favouring his foot.

Oh no, let’s hope the Champ is alright Broose.

I wouldn't want to wish an injury on anyone but gee I wish rance's foot is seriously injured. A chip a fracture or a break.

Hawks really aren’t much chop. Tigers aren’t playing great footy and still right on top.

A finals shakeup that involves Hawthorn straight to a prelim isn’t exactly a shakeup is it? Next you’ll tell us you’re hoping for Carlton and Gold Coast make up the bottom 2 next year just for a bit of variety.

I know the Richmond being good thing is wearing very thin, but Hawthorn... just no. Quite happy to see them get flogged a few times first, please.

I can’t see how some think we can beat Richmond. Hawthorn on the other hand are very gettable.

They are the benchmark for the competition. Like a big black and yellow blanket.

I use to like Bruce but I reckon his time has come, his calling is average.

Seriously , how did this mob finish top 4?

We need a few more injuries to the Hawks if we make it through tomorrow. Stratton, Burgoyne, Mitchell out for mine.

bit of an eye gouge from rance then?

I saw that: the commentators ignore it because, gee, he's such a great player...

Rance is a tool. We can beat both these sides if the chance is there

4 Quarters tomorrow

Oh gee he's recovered. What a champion......

I'd prefer him in the team if we play them. He's just not that good.

Not surprised. He’s the dirtiest player of the modern era, yet he never gets called on it. Dirty overrated piece of sh*t.

Reminds me of a refined Leigh Matthews...

True, but gee if we play the hawks next week they will step up big TIME. But stratton already out is a good start.

Anyway of course Rance's foot is fine. he is just invincible.

Hopefully a totally fractured fibula. I hate everything about this prancing fraud of a human being.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
