The problem with the saints game plan is that everything needs to go perfectly well for them to look like a good footy side.

Exactly the same as the MFC

For every 5 things St Kilda do right, they make 1 mistake which completely kills all momentum they had and hands back momentum to the opposition. What an infuriating team to watch.

Saints lose by 4 after a billion opportunities to score a goal. Heartbreaking.

Hawthorn leadershipjave fear of losing . Ours don’t.

So the winner of next week's match Hawks V Sydney get top 4, loser down to 5th probably. Either way, top 4 aspirations are cooked for us. Just a [censored] fight to stay in the 8 now, as we expected.

a lot happier than our mate Goodwin... but I get what you are saying

Goodwin would take a 1 point win over anyone at this point.

Wow both games a cracker in the end. Not sure clarko would be happy with that

Why?

they had an off night and still won. We at the MFC can only dream such scenario’s.

It will be forgotten about by Monday afternoon

Feels like a real slow death this time. Every little result sucking a bit more life out of us.

It's like the entire round 23 2017 weekend (after we lost to Collingwood and all saw what was coming) spread out over an entire month. It's like I've been stuck in a slow-motion car crash ever since that Sydney loss, arguably even since the [censored] Geelong loss.

If Freo beat Coll in Perth and we win both, we can finish 4th?

Yeah pretty much. We’re just watching it all unfold in slow motion this time.

The same Freo that last by 23 goals today?? Ain't happening!

They’re a totally different team at home and Pies have a huge injury list, anything can happen as we almost saw with Saints tonight.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
