Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 14

I don't know what Tyson thinks he is doing out there, but so far he's had 4 or 5 attempts at a handball - not one of which has even come close to a team mate - unless you consider handballing to their feet effective...

Hi from Tbilisi in Georgia

The cradle of wine and great food. A mere 38 here yesterday but after a little storm last night hopefully a bit cooler today

Fairly sure I would prefer Greece DJ.

Dom just seems to be rushing his disposals at the moment. I also agree with others the handball over the top that he's trying is not for wet weather football. It's either handball backwards or kick it long. Sigh

Georgia is a seriously beautiful country. Tbilisi is known as the new Prague.

Wonderful value as well.

Keilty copped a slight head knock at the end of the 2nd quarter. As a precaution more then anything he won’t play the rest of the game. In these conditions it didn’t really suite the KPPs anyway.

Mate he just can’t catch a break.

Keep plugging away Dec.

Harry Petty breaking some lines and getting some run of that stoppage. Would like to see guys like Kent do the same. Try to break the lines and open the game up if possible.

Easier for Petty as he can just run in a straight line, whereas Kent playing H.F needs to gather and turn under pressure..

Big difference on such a wet day.

Oskar Baker does have something about him. If it could click together, he'd be some player.

Oh yes of course. I only meant if Kent was playing on a wing or further up the ground.

Dom just cannot find a target, by hand by foot or scrum.

To be fair, it's torrential.

3QT Casey  4.12.36 to NMVFL 0.4.4

It’s rivetting stuff as the Demons are relishing the conditions and North are struggling to trouble the scorers.

In Mt Eliza it's 28 degrees. Drops 20 degrees when you hit Olivers Hill.

Farenheit?

Good job McKenna. Putting him on ice now, good to see him get through it.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
