Just wondering folks, what do you expect to happen in our upcoming game against Freo when, half-way through the first quarter, the Mighty Dees are six goals ahead and firing in all lines with no hope of Freo curtailing the devastation? Will the White Brethren interfere once again?

Consistency says: 'You betcha!'

Common sense says: 'Surely not! It is impossible for that to occur in the modern game.'

Hope says: 'The AFL will launch an official enquiry on behalf of the MFC if it does happen.'

It may not be in the first quarter that this begins to occur but experience and review of our current season would indicate that should it occur any time before the 20-minute mark of the final quarter, it will definitely happen. What'cha reckon, folks?

This game shouldn't worry us with the umpiring as we should put FREO  away completely and boost our percentage. The game we should worry about the  umpiring is the game against Geelong  at the Cattery. that is 2 weeks away.

I lost my s*@^ during and after the game last week ,this week i will only be on my laptop checking scores now and again, because if i find out those snot blocks have let freo back in game for what ever reason, i will lose it. and nothing or no one will be safe.

Those 50m protected zone goals are killing the game. Cost is last week and some rediculous ones over the last 2 weeks the hannebury one last night was the worst of all-time.

I would like to see the players walk onto the ground encircling the umpires, hands in air, in an orchestrated, synchronised swimming-like choreography, just to drive the point home.

Perhaps we can arrange for Strauss' eponymous Blue Danube to accompany, although something more fervent like Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights or perhaps Flight of the Bumblebee may convey the haphazard nature of the umpiring.

Just checked the teams - everything should be OK - we’ve got those two quiet unassuming chaps who never put themselves into the spotlight - No 18 and No 28!! My god, our great game is in trouble.

Complaining about the umpiring before the game has begun, I like it. Get on the front foot

Complaining about the umpiring before the game has even begun is the most MFCSS thing I've ever heard. I love it.

Yep, we'd obviously be 14-0 with a percentage of 180 if it wasn't for the umpires. Bastards.

Poita, that is one of the most poignant statements of all time on DL - a truism of note, one that has become a fact of life for the MFC, providing deep insights into the 'interested parties' who consider the manipulation of the laws of nature and fair play to be easy achievements, blindly turning their eyes to the heavens of self-righteousness. Helleluja, Brudder!

Given that this week we've been handed Razor Ray and Pannell to deal with, I think it's quite appropriate to start the thread prior to the game. We'll need to be a 15 goal better side to win this, so the Freo odds are very juicy.

Razor and Pannel? Are you serious? This week? Seems suss AFL would send Razor Ray to Darwin, enough there for a good conspiracy!

In some matters, it pays to be prepared. However silly that may sound with the umpires.

Now I am accustomed the blame game post match but this takes the blame game to a new level.

Risk analysis and assessment is always advisable - do I watch a TV live telecast or do I just get drunk at the thought of it all?

So is that fatty and baldy together again. The indomitable duo, Batman and Robin, Bonny and Clyde, Donald and Kim.

The public should pay more here, for the Comedy than the Game. Dare we think this might come to pass before year's end, that people might turn up for a laugh, like a Greek Play in an Amphitheatre.....i wonder

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
