    The wonderful word that has log in it with a f at the start has been banned for ages.

    Annoys me as I love that word. I use it  the time.

    This was an ugly win but a pretty impressive one in my eyes. Normally, to get murdered in clearances all over the ground would result in a big loss to any team. 

    Not many have mentioned the Dogs game plan which curtailed our attacking flair. I haven't seen a team flood the backline like that in years.... They were in damage control. Many times they had EVERY player inside our half forward line. 

    We didn't play great footy either, but we found a way.

    It's a new dawn.

    I am sure the heat of Alice and the short  break took the edge off the midfield somewhat, hence the poor clearance work.

    Funny how it wasn’t that long ago I would be a nervous wreck when the ball was in our backline and cringe when thinking how it would get out.

    Now I’m relaxed and enjoy watching them from the backline constructing a beautiful forward entry.

    Another thing struck me at the game was our ever improving foot skills. However the reality is that it is the next person running hard to position giving them a great option.

    Not quite off topic:  Living interstate Etihad is not an option, so don't have to feel guilty about watching on TV:

    In the Fox broadcast of our match the close ups which focussed on the player with the ball were extremely annoying - balls flying out of shot, no idea who was nearby.  At times I could only guess that the ball was going to one of our players by looking at how the other players in shot reacted.    Whereas watching the MCG match it was not that bad. 

    Is the difference the two broadcast camera/director teams (are there 2?) or the camera set-up at the 2 venues?
