Has anyone got any news yet?

Heard Dal Santo on afl feed day his day is finished but will await more details. ย

Fingers crossed itโ€™s not too bad.ย

Club suspects bone bruising. Sent him immediately for scans.

Fingers crossed for bruising get him back after the bye

ย

Nervous wait until we hear the outcome of the scan! Hopefully only a 3-4 week injury and he could be back after the bye.

ABC saying Melbourne are worried it's an ACL...

Doesnt look good at all.

There was no contact... the knee just went.

FML that would be right. We canโ€™t have things go smoothly at Melbourne. Something always has to go wrong.ย

Fingers crossed!

It was pretty innocuous. Changing direction at relatively low speed. Hoping for the best.ย

ย

Just caught the end of someone on ABC in rooms interview. ย Maybe Tommy McD?

Either he or commentator said ACL was mentioned somewhere. ย All a bit vague, but IF a full ACL the man involved would surely know it.ย

Sadly no contact when his knee seemed to buckle, so unlikely to be bone bruising, I reckon.ย  Sincerely hope that this is just MFCSS in my part!

He has had a knee reconstruction on that knee in 2014 so hereโ€™s hoping he hasnโ€™t done major damage to it.ย

Im not holding my breath.ย

TripleM doc said likely ligament damage, but only expects 4-6 weeks off. We shall see.

ย

E: Goodwin just said suspected ACL

Felt so relieved reading that.

Then I got to the second line.

For [censored] sake.

I am assuming an ACL If itโ€™s not I will be wrapped but has put a sour taste on the win, we need himย

It will be what it is.

Please remind me who is / are playing any similar type of rรดle at Casey? ย

Keilty? How is he coming along?

Same question for Petty?

It would be a backward step though could become necessary to more Tommy back?

Is it possible that itโ€™s a partial knee tear and he returns in 6-8 weeks like Dale Morris?

I rate Petty. However as we saw with Nev today, i reckon it's just another tall defender to plug the hole and free up nev and hibbo for the intercept.

If he needs a MRI then almost certainly not until Monday but the 2 day delay wouldnโ€™t effect recovery from whatever it turns out to be.ย

Surely footballers get preferential treatment and quicker results?ย

Not sure we can wait until Monday. Might die of anxiety.ย

Hope he returns like Jake Lever, not like Dale Morris ?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
