Don't you mean can Adelaide still get our top 5 draft pick?

Oh yeah...

Seriously, if we drop our bundle and cop a heavy defeat to Adelaide on the back of one player out of our best 22 missing, we're not the team I was hoping we'd become this year.

Yes, Tom's been in excellent form, but surely we can cover him for hopefully just the one game. If Pedo produces 70% of what T Mac could and everyone else continues their great form, we're still a good chance on Sunday.

If, as Goodwin says, he pulled up sore after the Blues game, what the hell was he training today for?

i pulled up sore after every game

Be crazy to play him if he has soreness his the same foot even if the scans are clear.

He has become critical to our set up and can’t really be replaced. Bring in Pedo to ruck/fwd role and have hogan play more wing and roaming role.

If it has flared up again he just lost himself a lot of money on his next contract

Thursday morning all is rosy and i'm super confident of a win. Nek minnit......

Bloody jinxed us... it's your fault! You're a witch!

Even if it's only a few weeks with the injury together with the Weid  being out, Viney returning etc it would be nice for the team to settle down for a decent run together ....

I reckon he will be alright. Even if he misses this week, it sounds like cautious management and nothing more. I hate reading this site sometimes.

Apparently, according to one track watcher, the moment there is a niggle you're training in the rehab group.

Don't tell me this track watcher, who is never wrong, is actually wrong....?

He didn't say his foot pulled up sore from the game, I think he was referring to general soreness.   Most players would have general soreness after a game and would still train throughout the week.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
