pineapple dee 2,892 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 The AFL will roll over and allow both Curnows to play Sunday. They have neutralised their Integrity department and are now making it up as they go. May got off because his team is playing in an exhibition game in China. Without May, it would be an utter bloodbath, not just a slaughter. The Curnows play for a quite popular big club who've just had their first win and the AFL don't want to stall their progress. BINGO, Just now reported both got off with fine. So umpire fiddling is now ok. AFL Shameless scum organisation 4 Quote
Wadda We Sing 10,685 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Wonder what you get for making contact with a tribunal member? 2 6 Quote

Return to Glory 8,518 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Umpires around the country will be stoked with this ruling. Push an ump in the chest whilst looking away and Bob's your Uncle. 1 Quote

Return to Glory 8,518 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Tommy Bugg would have been remanded in custody had it been him. 1 5 Quote

titan_uranus 25,255 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 These are two absolutely incredulous Tribunal decisions. They make absolutely no sense at all. Both clearly intentionally touched the umpire. Hawkins must be livid he was advised (presumably) to plead guilty, if this is the way the Tribunal assesses things. Quote
Dappa Dan 2,188 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 A lay down misere, and they managed to stuff it up again. 1 Quote
Gorgoroth 13,220 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Ha ha AFL lotto at its finest. Carlton must have r3verted back to the good ol brown paper bag under the table. 3 Quote

Young Blood 2,642 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 May as well let Ziebell off for possibly crushing a guys skull with his knee and full weight. Quote
GCDee 3,202 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Meh... Carlton are a joke of a club. We win either way Quote
pitmaster 3,592 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Classic AFL inconsistency. AFL is a bogus organisation. Quote
Lucifers Hero 40,722 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 (edited) Is anyone really surprised? The AFL loves Carlton and is determined to favour them at every opportunity. As evidence I offer you the number of Thur/Fri/Sat night FTA games they have been gifted. I also offer the number of Home games (vs some high member teams...good for the $ coffers) at the G (somewhat at our expense). Integrity? Pfft! Consistency? Pfft! Impartiality? Pfft! This is Carlton folks. This week is their home game and need to get people thru the gate to bring in the revenue. Whatever helps Carlton the AFL deliver! Surprised? Nope! We win either way My frustration has nothing to do with us playing Carlton this week. In fact, I’d prefer we get a full strength opposition to ensure we approach the game seriously. My frustration is that the MRO/Tribunal system is dishing up inexplicable and inconsistent decisions on a far too regular basis. 2 1 Quote

Plain and simple! Double standards are core values at AFL HQ. How many hundred dollar bills can fit into an average Visy brown paper bag? Now, at least for us, time to move on and crush these bastards this weekend. Edited May 15, 2018 by monoccular 2 Quote
Young Blood 2,642 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 (edited) Interesting to be a fly on the wall in the tribunal deliberations. Especially the second one which took longer. "OK so Charlie's excuse of not seeing the umpire and trying to get players away from the fight was a good one. We don't have another angle where we see him make eyes directly towards the umpire so its all good" "Now Ed is a bit more tricky. We should also take a bit longer to show that we're taking it seriously and considering actually giving him the week. He does see the umpire and reaches out towards him. Lets just say that he didn't mean to make contact and they were all happy shaking hands at the end of the game so that ones all good too" "Carlton and more importantly the AFL/$$$ will be pleased with our work here" Edited May 15, 2018 by mongrel Quote

deebug 1,754 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 This could also work in our favour as well, you would think the umps would not be a very happy bunch right about now, so maybe they will be on our side for once? Quote
