No big deal, but it was reported on the radio today that he's been arrested and will face the Magistrates Court later today.

What has he done?

Turned up to training early, naturally they thought he was a burglar.

In 2015 I think. I shouldn't have posted bashing his girlfriend. Abused.

Oh, you mean that Facebook rumour that was shown to be completely false?

My apologies if it was false. I still stand by my one way street point.

He just proposed to his long term gf, so if he is accused of anything like that it'dit'd be assault of his fiancé.  Very sad if true. .. he was estranged from his long term partner after he left the Dees and had recently rekindled the relationship.

On that we can all agree!

Didn’t he post a picture on Instagram with the hashtag #wakeupcall?

And to think he was one good pre season away!

Saw him in the Trident area lev 2 towards the end of the season chewing beers with mates. Standing right in the doorway from the bar to the seating balcony, blocking the way. And these days he certainly fills the space. Wouldn't move despite punters asking him to. Acting like a right [censored]

I was there that day Moonie.

I thought Col was quite reasonable - whereas you were [censored] an obnoxious as usual.

So I guess we can rule him out making a comeback like Jimmy Bartel.......

Assault out front of a bar in Windsor. It's a shame Col couldn't get himself on track even with all the support around him over the years. He's in proper trouble now.

On ch7 news they said he secretly filmed his ex girlfriend while she slept after sending her abusive texts and climbing onto her balcony. Returned later and hid and filmed her.

I remember him in the Jim stynes room years ago when he was on our list, wasn’t playing as he was injured and we were getting pumped as usual and he couldn’t even sit there and support the boys was to busy at the bar chatting up some bird, I never liked him after that and wanted him gone and was glad to see the back of him, massive win getting Vince out of the deal

I might've had my beer goggles on, that much is true.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
