It all depends on what the issue is with Stringer at the Dogs:

1. He may have some irreconcilable relationship issue with Dog player(s) that he will leave behind
2. He may have some personal issue that the Dogs believe is unfixable - they do exist

If it's #1 then he could be a good pick up for someone.  If it's #2 beware.

There are up to 6 teams keen to speak with Stringer. But Binman has ruled him out and as of yet has failed to detail what he has done wrong. With all due respect to Binman if he has 6 AFL teams chasing him i trust their judgement long before all the huss, huss, wink, wink rumors online. 

Its time to be brave and bold, back yourself which I'm sure we will do if Stringer is prepared to commit to us. If he wont commit to us fine - I wish him all the best and trust Macca, Goody and the rest of our team.

Until we do due diligence, we can't know.  I suspect that there are elements of truth in he is a [censored]/he has problems outside of the game/ he has relational issues at the club.  Whether he is a bloke that needs a fresh start in a great environment, or is damaged goods - I hope the FD can work this out quick.

The bombers have ruled out trading a first round pick for him thinking he's only worth a second rounder. 

I'm not sure the dogs will let him go for less than a first rounder

Hypothetically, what if he's on two strikes for illicit drugs, or just has an issue with them? Could explain why he apparently was a repeat offender for turning up late for training.

Dogs and he agree that a trade would be of benefit to both BUT only if there is a suitable trade offered. The door is not completely closed on Stringer staying especially if the rest of the comp think he is only worth a 2nd rounder

I 100% agree with you DD.

I also trust Macca, Goody and the rest of our team. Which is why i am positive Stringer's desire to commit to us matters not a jot. We are not interested.

I suspect if asked Goody's response would be similar to the call and response chant at live gigs during Australian band The Angles song  'Am i ever going to see you face again'..............

So no matter what Stringer may have done or what issue he may have - if he's prepared to commit to us, you want to bring him to MFC? There's nothing that would exclude this for you?

What has he done? Has he murdered somebody? Are the Bulldogs partly to blame?

Notice in all Binman's replies he actual never says what he did - Why?

It seems the AFL have quietly dumped their '3 strikes and out for 6 weeks rule'.  At best it looks like out for 2 or 3 weeks or not at all...

And has anyone noticed the a whole range of non-injury reasons for players of a number of clubs missing a few games here and there.

...maybe they stop target testing some players after 2 strikes...

Davey Dee is so desperate for us to chase Stringer that he will literally ignore anything he has done to get him. 

Yarren is a cautionary tale.

Not saying the Stringer is in the same boat, but when a club wants to ditch a AA match winner then it has to be buyer beware.

The reasons you are trying to come up with to justify why we should chase him are laughable.

1. - If others partied just as hard and did the same things as the other players then they would no doubt have gotten the same treatment and been asked to leave.  Clearly that's not the case and whatever it is he has done is far, far worse as he's been the only player asked to leave.

2. - If his life started to simply fall apart due to post natal depression then the club would support him in every way they can.  They wouldn't push him out the door.

It's like you are his helicopter parent who is making excuses for his behaviour, rather than getting him to take full responsibility for the way he has acted.  It's not often that players get asked to move on, but this has been the case here and that puts up red flags all over the shop.

It's all a moot point anyway as we aren't interested in him.  

Stringer speaking out at 11. AFL site reporting he will break his silence, don't think he will give much away. Might be an interesting way though to start the launch of trade radio.
