The difference is Lynch runs to create play in the centre corridor, whereas Jack runs from the corridor to the fringes.

Love it that Jack is now being blamed for his crap media appearances. He can't do any media that the club doesn't want him to. Are we that desperate for attention?

I'd like the club to have the nads to say no to any more media appearances from Jack and put someone else out there.

I heard KB was on the radio blaming him for the fact the Tigers will have to wear their clash jumper for the grand final.

And apart from looking like a [censored], wtf does it achieve? We lost to the same opposition in round 23, which cost us a place in the finals. How [censored]'n stupid is he to agree to it?

Players do these puff media pieces all the time. I think the club can't continue to be in perpetual mourning until round 1 and ignore these media requests.

Said it before and I'll say it again - every club knows that if Dees want him, he'll always choose us and there's no point chasing him. They will also know that he would only be on the market if Dees don't want him. So they won't have to pay top dollar. So even if clubs would happily give up a late first rounder for him, they're fully aware that they won't have to.

So you don't think that the nature and the timing of the puff piece was poor?

Most supporters (obviously not all) are still hurting from our rd 23 loss to the Pies. Who cares what happened on QB.

Cheezus we are so inept! Jack Watts thrown to the wolves! Never had an apprenticeship and tragically so poorly managed to this very day!

Our recruiting was ABYSMAL for much of the last ten years

Trengove instead Dusty

Then Scully again flawed chasing $$

Toumpas instead of Wines

Losing Scott Thompson

It goes on and on and on

We are a basket case of a club Really

Watts unfortunately I think Gone.

I will be happy to see him succeed in another environment and if he Belts us so be it!

Our club is a Basket case!

Too many head cases! and poor recruiting and shizenhuisen development!

Just needed to beat a skitful Collingwood last game and what do we do??

Cheezus Lose to NORF twice and other gimmees

Nup Norm Smith curse lives on and on and On!

We are light years away from finals!

Hey Mr Wisdom, could you post a link to share the moment you said all of these would be terrible outcomes before they happened? Anyone can be wise after the fact.  Give us next week's lotto numbers rather than last weeks Picket

Analyse any club and you can up with the same scenarios to these. Try to accept that this stuff is in the past and despite some speed bumps we're on the way up, it'll do your mental state a world of good.

You mean like these media performances???

A lot worse than Watts' one. Every time I go on instragram, there's a story update of Hogan, Gawn and Harmes [censored] faced in Bali sipping on bintangs.

There is interest in Watts, mainly Collingwood, but Watts has declared he would prefer to stay.

As I put in another thread

Watts said he and Goodwin have no issues and he said he wishes he was taken pick 72 in a rookie draft and just play footy without the attention.

On footy classified they mentioned if the right trade came along watts could go. Mentioned the pies are after him. If he goes to collingwood I will be disgusted. I couldnt handle him being in a black and white jumper.

Watts could cure cancer and people would still criticise him.

RE the ch 7 interview.

No other player at our club rumoured for a trade is put out in the media to showcase or defend himself.

Goodwin said on SEN last week that they don't talk about trading players in the media.  Well, afford Jack that respect and not parade him like that.

Like Jack said to Roos':  'I just want to be treated like a human being'.

So MFC, if you are going to trade him, trade him.  But do it respectfully and let it play out in private like, everyone else.

If this [censored] club has this bloke up for trade and at the same time sanctions a puff piece for him to address whether he is up for trade - then we are getting no better as a club.

It screams that we are just a [censored] for attention and the most divisive player we have is a good way to get it so let's trot him out and let him soak up the ire of fans still hurting from a few weeks ago...

Just a pathetic way to treat an employee. Who is the leader of this club again? Honest question. Who shoulders the burden?

We need to be careful here, though.  Where has it been stated as fact that we ARE actually putting him up for trade?  There are plenty of baseless rumours flying about, such as Ricky Nixon posting stuff which he would know nothing about, but there is close to nothing concrete.

I find it hard to believe that PJ would allow something like this to happen if we are looking to trade him, yet the fact we're allowing him to get interviewed and state his love for the club suggests we aren't.

Until we know for sure then I think we can lay off sinking the boots into the club.

Wise, I agree it is worth being cautious.

But Jack seemed to confirm a potential trade when he said something like:  I want to stay but it depends on what the club wants to do, I suppose.  Not something a player with 2 years on his contract would say if a trade wasn't being considered (doesn't mean it will happen).

Even if he was interviewed to speak to his love of the club I see no benefit to the club or to Jack.

If the club wanted to skwosh ^_^rumours the best thing to do is say nothing or have his manger say clearly that he is not up for trade like Connors did for Salem and he didn't do when asked about Watts.
