You can't teach speed. Just look at guys  like Trenners. 

Frost has speed, it is up to the footy department to invest in the areas you can teach.

As quoted 90% of trades happen when a players out of contract, those players who end up out of contract are delisted.By the AFL rules the club who purchases the delisted player must give up a draft pick ,i.e Fitzpatrick went to the Hawks for pick 84.

That isn't how it works.

When a player is delisted he becomes an Unrestricted Free Agent and can go to his club of choice without it giving anything to his prior club.

That is how we got Daniel Cross.

Hawthorn traded pick 84 for Fitzy because they wanted him to start training with them asap rather than wait until the AFL window opened to get him as an UFA.  So Fitzy was not delisted.

Agree he should have been tagged in round 23. 

Elliot did not play in the previous 3 games when we beat the pies and was a sub in the other game we won a few years back.  When he plays, we lose. 

I haven't checked the details but they have won most of their games when he played this year.  Its pretty obvious that he is their most dangerous player. 

I suggest more oversight than hindsight.

Someone mentioned earlier about moving him forward, I know he's a terrible traditional leading forward, but I'd like to see him trained up to potentially be a taller defensive forward. Some teams have had success manning up on the list of Rance, Hurley, McGovern etc. and I think Frost with his speed would worry those key intercept types, they'd have to stay on him as well as he does have the height that demands a tall rather than a mid size player to go with him. 

It would be only in certain games (I still think he's best is as a back) but I think it could be worth a try, if he happened to snag a few goals as well even better, but I think they'd come in the Josh Jenkins over the top style rather than out-pointing anyone on a lead or in a marking contest. Would potentially give us some flexibility if we wanted to change things during a game he could go back and then TMac come forward.

The more I watch the modern game the less positions seem relevant .

Hope he gets it all together next year.

He has some freaky talent but he should be having more impact on games.
